The next day came around and Kyojiro came to your room with senjuro, his little brother.

"Kyo-nii, Sen-nii!" You exclaimed sitting up wincing "owwww~" you once again fell off of your bed, this time rolling over and once again landing on your head.

Kyojuro simply sighed as he picked you up again "N/n you really do need to be careful with how bad your injury is"

"Yeah I'm not looking forward to the next 4 weeks" you pouted "I break the rules all the time, Shino knows this and this is the worst punishment she has given me.

"It would have been 2 weeks had you followed the rules"

"It was worth it, they won't let him stay here for more than 2 hours, plus some rules are made to broken" you let out a huff crossing your arms.

"I do understand why you would be upset about the time limit but was it really worth it, not to mention that just the door opening makes you jump up even though it hurts you, and you always fall on your head which only makes that injury worse" he sighed

"I can't help that I get excited when I get company here, now go and run your errands, I'll look after Senjuro"

"I appreciate it N/n" he left as you pat the bed signaling Senjuro to sit.

"Come, sit you tiny ball of sunshine" you smiled "I don't bite" he slowly walked up sitting on the edge of the bed

"H-hi Y/N Nii-san" you opened your arms for a hug giving him a reassuring look. He scooted over towards you as you pulled him into a hug

"How have you been doing, you have been trying to learn flame breathing I heard." You adjusted gesturing to the new spot infront of you

"It's not going good, I can't use a single technique." He sighed looking down "I don't want to let anyone down but I can't use flame breathing"

"Do you want to try space breathing? it's derived from wind and thunder so you might find it easier."

"Really, you will teach me!?" He had tiny sparkles in his eyes

"Why not, I think you will do great, maybe you could make your own breathing after." You smiled. "We could head to the rehabilitation area right now to get what we need."

"Really! Your amazing Nii-san" you jumped off the bed helping you get off

The two of you headed down to the rehabilitation area to get the necessary supplies. Then head outside to the garden.

"For space breathing your going to need to stretch your arms a lot. There is a good bit of flexibility involved as well but not more than you could handle. There is a lot of movement, as most forms are in the form of Zigzags." You guided Senjuro to show him what muscles needed to be stretched

You sat there going over the basics as he did his stretches. He already knew the basic stretches for general training which saved a lot of effort. "One of the main things that may make space breathing easier for you to master is that while flame breathing focuses on singlular, strong attacks while space breathing focuses on several, agile attacks." You paused for a moment "it possible that your body lacks what is nessasary for flame breathing but has what is nessasary for other styles"

Then you showed him how to breath, placing most of your weight onto your left foot and such. "So for the first form you are going to make 1 strong slice down, with enough force the wind will act like extra blades" you watched him perform the first form, he did well for his first time

"That was amazing Senjuro, let's keep it up" you applauded him. "For the second form you will make slashes in the shape of a star." You stood up standing behind him to guide his arms.

"Slash down to the right. Twist. Up to the left. Twist. Left to right. Twist. Down to the left. Twist and up to center." You let go of his arms "do that motion without using the breathing just to get the hang of it." You sat there and noticed the butterfly girls behind you watching

"No need to be shy, come out and watch if you wish" you mentioned not moving an itch

"Oh alright Y/N!" The girls came out of hiding to watch. "What are you guys doing?"

"I'm teaching Senjuro my breathing style as he is having trouble with flame breathing" you looked to the one with braids. "And do to worry I'm only guiding him, I won't use breathing styles or use a sword till I'm healed"

"Good to hear Y/N. Ms.Kocho is quite mad at you still"

"I said I'm sorry I fell asleep, I didn't do anything." You rolled your eyes

"Alright I think I'm ready!" Senjuro smiled looking your way

"Alright, let's see it Senjuro" you focused on him, his form, breathing, till he moved forward, performing the 5 slashes in the shape of a star. "You did great on that one too, are you ready for the 3rd form or do you want to repeat that one?"

"Let's go to the 3rd form!"

You stood up "so you want to make 5 curved slashes for this one" you guided his arms to make the motion "the size and placement of the slashes can be adjusted to the situation, for now try out different combinations." You sat back down with the butterfly girls

"Hi there N/N! Kocho said you were here!"

"Oh hi Kyo-nii. Your done already?"

"Yeah, it was a simple errand, what is Senjuro doing? I can tell he is training but it is not flame breathing."

"Yep, it's space breathing, he wanted to try learning and he is doing great, he is practicing the form for form 3 already."

"It's great that he can learn your breathing style, he will make a great tsugoku for you!"

"No no, I'm going to help him develop his own breathing style, he said he wants to try combining flame and space breathing. I feel like star breathing is a fitting name"

"Senjuro Rengoku, the star Hashira. Not bad!"
