Kotetsu began to pound on your vase, using a knife to try freeing you. Segments of the demon came behind the child, prepared to attack. You used the last of your air to yell "MOVE OUT OF THE WAY" you eyes widened in shock as he was wounded, giving you a bubble of air as he fell to the ground.

Your heart was racing, your entire body felt like it was on fire.

Where did you feel this before

Oh, It was during your fight with uppermoon 6

You felt that same sharp sting on your forehead as you made the most of the air you were given. After just a moment the vase had broken. You fell to the ground coughing violently before you quickly took a cloth you kept in your uniform and went to tie it around the child's wound. As you went to do so you noticed that a tsuba had protected him. It held resemblance to the sun. You checked for any other wounds, finding one on his arm. You tied the cloth to it before rushing to free muichiro who seemed to be close to drowning. Right as you had arrived he managed to free himself, using oxygen another smith had given him.

He fell with a thud, coughing just around as much as you. He tried to look up at you, he was very disoriented and a mark had appeared on either side of his face. You felt a sting in your chest, if you were correct, and you are sure that you are, then he also got the mark.

You began to examine him, noticing his back being covered in needles which you quickly got to removing. "Are you okay?" You asked before moving hom to be sitting up "how many fingers am I holding up?" You asked, placing 3 fingers up.

"Three" you quickly smiled at him before turning to the demon which had thankfully not noticed the two of you yet.

"Are you okay to keep fighting?" He responded with a nod. "I think it is time to get serious" he once again responded with a nod.

The both of you rushed at the demon, him aiming for the neck, you aiming just above the vase.

He retreated into a tree, shocked by the fact you had both escaped. "HOW, NO ONE HAS EVER ESCAPED"

"Oh, how unfortunate for you" you gave him a close eyed smile before rushing at him once again, this time he used a vase to make octopus tentacles which you were quick to slice through.

"H-How!?" He once again retreated, this time you could sense him behind muichiro.

"You just suck" you stated, not moving from your spot.

Muichiro quickly went to attack him and the demon suddenly deflated. You felt it's presence move to a tree as it began a speech about it's full form. From it's scales to it's speed and flexibility.

"Could you shut up you peice of crap" muichiro smirked slightly before the demon rushed at him, attacking with its claws a few times as muichiro jumped backwards.

Everything the demon had touched became fish, very odd ability but you do you man. The demon continued being a narcissist, bragging about his goofy ability for a while

A/n: off topic but should I make a muichiro x reader when I finish this one? (I'm a hardcore simp for him and idk if should)

"None of your abilities matter if you can't land a hit, you slow bitch" he smiled once again before looking at you. You were standing there hyping him up.

You quickly got back on focus and went for it's head as you were behind it

"Space Breathing, form 1, night sky"

You quickly decapitated the demon in the middle of its rage. "H-Huh? How could this happen? To be defeated by two children, how pathetic. You two are nothing but maggots, grubs, you will pay"

"First of all, I'm not a child, I'm 19, second , you are the maggot you ugly fuck and third rot it hell" you sliced up it's head as you sheathed your katana "you alright there?" You turned to face muichiro who was trembling.

He began foaming at the mouth and fell into the ground. You sighed and picked him up, making sure he would be harmed further "if you couldn't go on then you should have said so, you know you can rely on me muichiro" you went to kotetsu and the other smith and gestured for them to follow you as you headed to the clinic.

"Do you think you could carry him?" You asked the older smith. "It will be safer for us if I am able to fight freely if we run into another demon, based on recent events I doubt that demon came alone"

"Of course" he responded as you moved him to the same position.

"Keep him in that position so he can breathe properly"

"Yes ma'am"

"No need to be so formal, call me y/n"

"Yes Ms. y/n"

You let out a small sigh "just y/n, I know I just said I'm not a child but I'm not an old lady either"

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be offensive"

"It's quite alright"

After a few minutes the 4 of you made it to the clinic where you dropped the other 3 off. You brought them to nurses to be checked out, you insisted on going to patrol the area, after a few moments of arguing with the nurses you attempted to pull you into a room to have your condition evaluated you had finally managed to make it out.

Your head was spinning, likely from the poison finally taking effect, your body began to feel like lead, your head was throbbing as you forced yourself out of the door and after what felt like hours you made it about 5 feet from the exit before you feel your body fall and your memory go black other than a sharp pain on the right side of your head.

I had to completely re-write this chapter bc I'm stupid and forgot to watch the most recent 2 episodes of the anime and I'm trying to keep this fairly canon as well I feel like I should try extending combat scenes more, I also ran out of ideas so this chapter probably sucks and now I have to re-read the manga bc all I remember is the infinity castle arc and that is barely, I don't feel like I have to say this but from here on it should be manga spoilers just so you know.

Also, I have the chapter for 5k written and ready to post, I also might add some little head canon stuff in the chapter or as a separate one idk.

And I'm going to go back and edit my older chapters and maybe work on my kazuha fic bc I am about halfway through the second chapter after about a month (⁠;⁠ŏ⁠﹏⁠ŏ⁠)
