There is this thing about small towns, their tight nit communities where everyone seems to know each other. People can hardly go shopping through the grocery store without stopping and getting caught up talking to someone they know. Parents do not have to worry about their children being without them at the beach, because they know that they will be looked after. That is the reason people move to small towns, the idea that their children will have a safe place to grow-up, but it is not like most people living in small towns moved there.

The majority of the population comes from the generations upon generations of families who have lived in the same area for a long time. Their parents all went to school together their grandparents all went to school together. Their lives forever entangled in one web spanning the town, of whom is related to who, who is dating who. There are the outsiders who move there, for the community the feeling of safeness, oblivious to the at times unaccepting community they just moved to.

People are unaware of the dangers and secrets that inhabit the abandoned streets, when evening comes in those picturesque communities. The fact that everyone seems to be hiding something... that these picture perfect communities are full of deceit to the public eye.

People face tragedies just like anywhere else, just they seem to get swept under the carpet, forgotten to the population. The kids who drown in pools, the ones who disappear leaving with out a trace. The ones who are there, but are not really there.

People lie just like everywhere, they keep up their facades, never letting people see their struggles afraid of the judgement they will get if people find out their bitter secrets. After all for places that seem full of secrets, once word gets out it spreads like a wild fire, through social media and word of mouth.

For places that seem so happy and full of community, people in small towns do not like people who are different, they do not like not knowing things. People tend to become closed off if they have something that they do not want people to know. The town of Springfield is no different people are hiding things everywhere, dark secrets lurk hidden in the past...
