Nor drummed her fingers on the outer part of her thigh, humming with anxiety, looking outside the window of the bus she was currently riding. She did not want to be here sitting on the sticky gray seats, that never gave people enough room to sit on comfortably with their legs down. The constant chatter that surrounded her, from the excited middle schoolers, who were eager to get to school to socialize with each other, her younger brother Pax included.

Pax loved school, her bet was he loved socializing that he actually enjoyed more than learning, but that was pretty on par with what she understood of teenage boys. Nor herself on the other hand, hated school, some day she dislikes the amount of people who constantly seem to hoard her. Other days though she was fine with people social even, she sat with her cousin at his lunch table on those days.

Nor looked out the window, watching the rolling landscape go by, the scattered trees in between the sparse houses that dotted the otherwise pristine wilderness. The houses with their mess sprawling out from the central part, housing the actual house. Nor felt the bus come to a gradual stop, by the top o a small street one she knew looped around coming onto the main road in two places. She watched as the group of five kids, came onto the bus, being the small town that she lived in Nor knew the names of all of the kids. There was Elliot a very cute first grader, he had slightly curly blonde hair that he always let her ruffle, next was Bean a tall and slightly gangly fifth grader, she was quiet, from the limited knowledge that Nor had, Bean and Elliot were siblings or cousins she was not quite sure which though, she knew their families lived together. Followed by Lucy a sixth grader, who was chatting passionately from behind Bean, Nor could hear her soft but loud alto piping through the bus. Then there was Colby a eighth grader whom, was slightly moody, and always had his head stuck in a book, or so it seemed like to her. The last and final person on the bus was Violet a fellow Junior, who she was not exactly friends with, but they were not not friends either.

Nor watched as they all worked their way down the bus, with Bean and Lucy sitting together close to the front, Elliot sitting with one of the other first graders on their bus. Colby slid into a seat a couple back from her brother from what she could tell. Nor watched as Violet who had her hood up worked her way down the bus, before eventually choosing a seat across from her.

Nor looked at her, observing her big baggy cross country sweatshirt with the hood up over her face, effectively covering the beautiful facial features she knew Violet was hiding. Violet was also wearing a pair of skinny jeans, as if noticing that she was being looked at Violet turned to look at Nor, meeting her eyes, and flashing her small smile, before going back to looking at the back of the seat in front of her.

Nor tore her eyes off of Violet, and went back to staring out the window, absently as they travelled the last leg of their journey to the middle school. Where all of the 4th through 8th graders got off of the bus, and traversed up the short walkway to the school. Once all of the kids are off of the bus, they pull away and head to the elementary school dropping all of the pre k-3rd graders off, before finally heading to their final destination for the morning their humble high school with around 350 students.

Sighing one last time, Nor stood up and slung her back pack over her shoulder, waiting for the alley way to clear out so she could get out of her seat. She watched as Violet stood up, quickly swayed slightly and grabbed onto the seat on front of her to steady herself. Hmm, Violet never seemed unsteady on her feet I wonder if she is okay. Shaking the thought away as Violet got out of her seat and continued out of the bus without another problem, so Nor shook that thought away and exited the bus.

She went through the front door of the school, to where everyone hung before classes begun for the day, she scanned the maybe 30 students who were already there, she knew that a lot more would arrive, soon, she was just the on one of the first buses to arrive.
