When the men came to take Nuri's eggs, Ghost didn't want to let them take them. He wanted to hold them close, to protect them. He would die for the dragons growing within these eggs, just like Nuri would. He knew he'd be the one to raise the dragons, alongside Nuri and Scotty of course, if a rider's dragon laid a clutch, the rider would help the mother take care of them.It was the rules.
Reluctantly, he had handed them over to the men and watched them leave. Nuri wouldn't be pleased to see her eggs missing, but then again, who would? A mother doesn't like it when her children are out of sight, makes them paranoid and anxious.
"Men, we will be meeting force 189 today. They are our allies, I want you all to welcome them and their dragons with open arms." Price's voice filled Ghost's ears and he looked at the man, who gave him a pointed look. Ghost fought the urge to roll his eyes.
"How many are coming?" Gaz asked.
"Eight. Four men, four women." Price answered, Gaz nodding his head. "Which also means eight unknown dragons coming in and landing on our base. We have no idea how our dragons will react, especially Nuri. Having her given birth just yesterday and her eggs back to her a couple of hours ago, she won't be too kind to the dragons."
Ghost knew that. She would be incredibly protective of her eggs, despite her having to leave them in a few hours.
Someone walked into the room, "Captain. They're here."
They all walked outside, their eyes locking on a large falu red colored dragon with four wings and four legs. It was a big as a Buffalo. I'm front of it stood a man, he looked Native. He had a stone cold face as he approached them.
"Captain Price," The man's voice was gruff, his dark eyes looking at Price, scanning over the man and extending a hand. "I am Captain Tatonga, call me Chief."
Price took the man's hand in his own, shaking it firmly. They let go and Price introduced them; "This is Sergeant Garrick, also known as Gaz. Beside him is Sergeant Mactavish, call him Soap."
"Why do we call him Soap?" Chief asked and Soap flashed him a smile.
"No one will ever know."
The chief grinned slightly, before looking at Ghost, who stared back. "And who is this?"
"That is Lieutenant Ghost." Soap answered before Price could, patting Ghost on his back. The man grunted in response to the physical contact, but Soap knew he liked it.
"Chief, Fern is getting uneasy. What should I do?" A woman walked up to the group of men, she was also native.
"Fern?" Soap Said, though it sounded like a question. The woman narrowed her eyes.
"My Drake. Fern."
"Easy, Nastas, These Are our friends. Force 141." Chief said, the woman straightening her posture immediately upon the news.
"Apologies, sir. I am Nastas, pleasure to meet you all." The woman apologized.
"Quite alright. I am Price, this is Gaz, Soap, and Ghost." Price looked at his men, who either smiled or, in Ghost's case, nodded at Nastas in greeting.
"Yahto wants to know if him and the others have permission to land, chief." Nastas focused back on her captain, who nodded his head. She then spoke into her comms, "Permission granted, Oak, you may land."
Ghost looked up where he found some dragons circling the base, a bright orange wyrm swooping down and landing beside the falu dragon.
Soon after, a feldgrau eastern dragon followed, landing swiftly beside the orange wyrm. The wyrm nipped at it when it stepped on its tail.
