A month and a half went by in Beacon Hills with no sign of Imogen. Students were going missing in surrounding towns, with what seemed like authorities looking the other way. Parents were forgetting their children and no trace was being left of those who took them. The pack did what they could to investigate all the disappearances, but when asking questions, no one could answer anything.

Isaac went into a slump. He would jump at every opportunity that he could, but the majority of the time he would find himself at a dead end. He stayed in communication with Imogen's parents in the beginning. After a week or so, they seemed to not care about searching for her anymore. In fact, after a month went by, they left the state altogether. There was something dark behind all the missing students, but it felt as if it was the pack against the world.

---

Imogen knew a large amount of time had passed. She was given her own small room after a few weeks of being tested. There were familiar faces in the rooms surrounding her own, but she couldn't communicate with them, as the only time she saw them was when she was being taken to a testing room. She lost all hope of getting out of the nightmare that was her reality. Being tortured had become an act of going through the motions. She knew what to expect and felt numb to everything. This day was different. Imogen lay awake staring at the ceiling of her all-white room. Being able to fall asleep was a luxury for her. The lights were always on and there were cameras always watching her.

The door opened to Imogen's room, but she didn't bother to watch whoever entered. She stared blankly at the ceiling and didn't move her gaze. "It's a big day for you, 55." Towards the beginning of her time here, there was a time when Imogen woke up to someone tattooing her neck. She couldn't figure out what it was until she spotted someone else in their locked room with a number tattooed on their neck. When the white coats continued to call her 55, she figured that's what the tattoo was. Imogen didn't react to the words the white coat said. She had begun to believe that an assortment of drugs they had put in her body was keeping her numb and compliant.

The white coats took Imogen to another all-white room (surprising, right?) They had her standing up straight when they injected her with three different syringes. "Your whole life is about to change, sweetheart." She kept eye contact with the white coat until her eyes grew heavy and she slipped away.

---

Imogen's lungs filled with air and her heart began to beat again. Her eyes shot open to see the ceiling above her and another gallery full of people. Imogen was able to stand up and walk around. It was weird considering how often she was tied down. The room was empty. Imogen felt an overwhelming feeling of hunger. Everything felt strange in her body. The door opened to the room, and Imogen watched as someone was wheeled in. She couldn't tell whether they were alive or not, as they were unconscious and bloody. For some reason, Imogen's eyes couldn't stay away from the blood dripping down the body which they had put in front of her. The white coats left, and her only fixation was the red puddle collecting on the floor. Why did she want it, everything in her body told her to go for it, except her human nature. Imogen turned away and paced for what felt like forever. The bright lights in the room bothered her, and she could hear them buzzing. Her brain kept telling her to turn around and indulge. Eventually, she gave in. Imogen walked to the body and examined it. Her gums began to hurt. "Just one taste..." She put her finger in the blood and put a small amount in her mouth. Immediately, it felt as though there was a rush in her body. The craving for the blood grew, and before she knew it, Imogen was helping herself to more and more.

At some point, the white coats were able to sedate her, but it was clear that there was a change in who she was from there on out.
