Months went by while Imogen and Isaac continued their relationship. After winter break, it was time for sign-ups for the blood drive. The school wasted no time. Isaac entered the school overjoyed to see his girlfriend again. She was away for the break with her family in Colorado. She stood at her locker, and Isaac felt excitement rush over him. He ran in her direction and the moment she saw him and smiled. He rushed into her arms and held her in a warm embrace. "I missed you so freaking much," he said.  "I missed you too," she smiled and let go of the hug. "Did you enjoy your trip?" he asked as they walked through the hallway. "I did, but I missed you." The two walked past the blood drive table. Before Isaac could say anything else, he felt his arm being tugged in the direction of the table. He took a deep breath as he watched his girlfriend write her name down. "You should sign up with me," she smiled. He shook his head, "No... I don't think so." after she wrote her name and stood there for a second trying to convince him to join. She eventually gave up and the two headed to their first class.

A few more weeks passed, and it was officially time for the blood drive. Oblivious, Isaac met Imogen at her locker and questioned why she wasn't bringing her usual stuff to class. "I told you last night, the blood drive is today." she smiled and gave him a small peck. "Don't worry, I'll see you for lunch." She gave him a smile, then headed in the direction of the school gym. Isaac waved by and continued in the opposite direction to his class.

Around lunchtime, Isaac sat with the pack and monitored the cafeteria for Imogen. He never ended up finding her, and he completely ignored everything Scott was saying to him. He eventually gave up on looking and figured she just had to stay longer. After school was done, he waited by her locker for a few moments, then made his way to the gym. All the nurses were cleaning up. He had texted Imogen several times today but got no response. He walked up to a nurse, kind of worried. Furthermore, he knew there was probably an explanation, but in the world, he lives in, anything could have happened. "Hi, ma'am, I was just wondering if you've seen my girlfriend Imogen Fitzgerald?" She looked up, it was clear her day was long. "She'd be with her," she said, pointing at another nurse who was also cleaning up. Isaac walked over to the second nurse and continued to ask the same question. "What'd she look like?" she asked, not bothering to look up. "Short blonde hair, Average Height, Grayish eyes?" she nodded. "Yeah, I sent her home. She didn't feel well." Isaac began to smell something that was a strong stench. He crinkled his nose and looked down at the seat next to her. He then saw Imogen's phone. "This is hers." He pointed at it, and then picked it up. The nurse clenched her jaw, and it was clear she was nervous. She picked up the last remaining cooler of blood bags and then walked out to the truck. Isaac proceeded to follow. "I don't know what to tell you, kid, give it to her next time you see her?" he was getting suspicious. He then started to catch the scent of his girlfriend getting stronger. He looked down at her phone and saw unanswered texts from her mom.

The nurse walked fast and made her way to a small van quickly, however it was not the same truck that the remainder of the nurses were putting their coolers in. The scent got stronger and Isaac got close to the small van. He could smell her even more. "What'd you do..." he growled. The nurse's eyes went dark and veins appeared underneath her eyes. "What the hell?..." Isaac said, backing away and realizing what the odor was. "Listen, this is bigger than you and your high school relationship, understand that." She closed the doors and Isaac caught sight of a band around the nurse's wrist. 'KJ facilities' He backed up and watched the nurse get into the van. As she was doing, so he saw a glimpse of Imogen's face through the doorway. She wasn't awake. He grew angry, but before he could go in for the woman, she slammed the door and drove off quickly. He was unable to keep up with her and eventually slowed down. "Dammit !" he yelled in anger. His eyes flashed, and he wasted no time calling Scott for help.
