Mincho's POV
As I opened my eyes I heard the tiny store bell ding. I quickly got up and straightened myself out. My hair was completely matted, but I didn't think that anyone would notice. I ran towards my desk and sat down in the nice wooden chair behind it. I pretended to be busy doing work and attempted to put on my "I've been awake for several hours" look.
The person walked up to me. Their skin was a sunkissed tan and their hair was fiery red. They almost looked intimidating at first glance, but they had the silliest smile so my fear didn't last long.
"Hey, I just put the books back on the right shelf and wrote them on your sheet there. Hope that's okay!"
"Were any of the books handed in late?"
"Hm, I think one was a day overdue, sorry?"
"200 Mora."
"What?"
"It's a 200 Mora fee for your tardiness. It's not a very high fee."
They started rummaging in their pockets and eventually found the money. They passed it to me, giving me a look of 'really? For a one day late book?'
I put the money in the small drawer underneath my register and waved at them. I waited for them to walk away from the desk to continue pretending to do work. In all actuallity I was just drawing my mom's cat.
Her name is Kikua and she's an adorable black cat. I'm not sure where she is right now, but I hope she's okay and healthy. I love her alot. So much that I accidentally filled out my whole sheet with drawing of her and had to put the page away so no customers could see my slacking off.
When the fiery red person was about to leave somebody else opened my door which hit them right in the face.
That's gonna be a huge complaint.
