Author's POV

Silky was born on 6 January 1996 in Texas. Her mother , Joshifa Williams and her father , Min Chan-yeol. Her mother is a architect in a well known company, her father was a marketing manager who came to the states for a project and got married to Joshifa, then moved to Texas permanently. After sometime of their marriage Chan-yeol started drinking and gambling and was used to hit Joshifa when he was drunk. He was used to hit Joshifa in-front of Silky since she was a toddler. Silky was afraid of father because of it. Later on domestic violence improved and Chan-yeol started getting angrier on Silky on small things or without any reason. She was 6 when he hit her the first time.

6 year old Silky was drawing on some pages in the living room, when her father come barging in and shouted

Chan-yeol - Where the fuck is my file? Joshifa where is my file?

then he saw Silky drawing on something and noticed that those were the pages of the file he was finding. So he snatched the pages from her and shouted

Chan-yeol - What the heck? are you crazy? how dare you touch my things?

then Joshifa came and saw that Silky made a mistake and he was shouting at her. so she tried to calm him

Joshifa- Chan please don't she doesn't know? she is a child.

Chan-yeol- Oh yeah ! these were some important files and now they are ruined because of her.

he said and pushed her. She started crying

Joshifa- Chan she is 6 didn't know . She is your daughter, how can do this !

she yelled at him but he slapped her and she fell on the floor, then he started yelling at her while kicking her again and again. Silky tried to stop him but he grabbed her arms tightly and slapped her hard . 

It was the first time he hit her and after that everything became worst . he was used to take all his anger out on her after drinking. When Silky was 9 he lost his job and started taking drugs also. One time he burned Silky's hands with a hot knife. 

When she was 10 he sold her to some man for money. She went missing for 4 days. They  locked her in a dark room and was used to beat her for hours when she tries to get herself free and they starve her for 4 days. On the other side her mom complained about her father selling her and he got 5 years of imprison and police started finding her. She was unconscious for three days, after that incident her mother divorced her father and moved to New York with her brother. Silky's nyctophobia is because of this specific incident. The person responsible for this was a big mafia leader and was sentenced to death. Silky still got nightmares because of her horrific past. She and her mother lived in New York for a year then moved to Seoul when Joshifa got a better job opportunity. Joshifa regret not leaving her ex husband before, she is still guilty for letting all this happen to her own daughter and Silky always tell her that this wasn't her fault but somewhere she is upset from her mother for suffering all this time when she could have left that man. 

Author's note

this was her past. this part is important to understand the further parts. I will describe some specific incidents and that big incident of her life in details in other updates. I always wanted to build this as a story so I tried to make this a little more interested.

And I am thinking of starting other book to, so maybe that will effect the updates.
