date night (kaiyana x tsireya)

*kaiyana and tsireya are 19 in this oneshot*

kaiyanas pov:
we try to include date night every month or twice every month. being an adult is extremely stressful.

i've been living with the metkayina clan ever since i turned 16 so around 3 years, and my family moved back to the forest. but this week, they came for a visit. neteyam wanted to introduce his daughter that was born about a month ago. i was so excited to meet her.

but it's been hectic, i didn't know babies were so high maintenance.

so today i wanted to go on a date with tsireya.
"come on babe!" i said enthusiastically, grabbing her hand and running to the ocean.

we dive into the ocean, i call out for my skimwing.
tsireya gripped into my waist.
even if we've been together for like 5 years, my heart still races every time she touches me.

all the sealife, coral, and rocks were glowing iridescent.
i took her to all our favorite spots in the ocean. we came to the surface to get some air until she suddenly jumped off my skimwing. i panicked a little bit thinking she injured herself or something.

"tsireya!!" i yelled out for her.
a few seconds later, before i dived into the water a skimwing flys out the ocean and creates a gigantic splash over my head.

it was tsireya.
she laughed looking at my expression. i didn't want to admit but that entrance was quite impressive.

"heh that's my girl" i said under my breath smirking.

"lets race yana!" she looked at me with preparation and excitement.
"surface or underwater?" i ask.

"whatever you think is faster!"
"loser has to look after neteyams daughter" she knew i hated doing that, don't get me wrong i love neteyam and my niece, but i just can't do the whole, feeding, cleaning, and pooping thing.

but tsireya was a natural. it was one of the many things i love about her. sometimes i wish i could give her a child, but we both didn't mind.

"how about loser cant kiss the other person for a day?" i say smiling, i knew i was going to win, so i couldn't wait to tease her tomorrow since she wouldn't be able to kiss me.

"hmm okay" she gave me a humbling smile before the count down.
"3...2...1... GO!"

i fucking lost...
