Chapter 1: Devastating news

Monday morning: 3 am

Emily POV:

I received a call in the middle of the night from Agent Johnson saying how he has some news about my parents.

So a week ago, my parents just disappeared without letting me know where they were going. They always goes on missions and I have to look after my sister Olivia but this time was different. I haven't had any contact from them and Agent Johnson sends them on the mission so he should know where they are if they were on a mission.

So the past 7 years of my life has been kinda crazy after finding out about Mom and Dad being a spy and after joining the organisation myself. My parents had me in self defence class since I could walk, they always said that I might need it one day. But my sister on the other hand doesn't know anything about this, as I excelled in school, Olivia hates it and pretty much skips every lesson so we felt it was best not to tell her.

The organisation has been the best thing that came into my life, well I met my boyfriend Ben at the organisation.

So now I have just arrived at the organisation head quarters. I walk in and head straight to Agent Johnson's office. As soon as I get there, I knock on the door and he motions for me to come in.

"Hey Em, I'm so sorry its early in the morning but I received some very upsetting news. We received some intel that your parents had been kidnapped by Zane, a recently escaped prisoner"

"Wait, what. Who's Zane" I asked confused.

"He is your mother's ex boyfriend and he was an agent for the organisation. About 20 years ago, there was a feud between your mother, father and Zane and obviously your mother picked your father"

"Ok, well do you know if they are alright"

"I am very sorry to say but Ben was the first on the scene after we got their location and we believe that your parents are dead" Johnson says as I look at him with shock.

"Wh....Wh... What, th... they can't be de.....dead" I say as tears start streaming down my face.

"I am very sorry. It is a very big lost for the organisation but right now we can't let anyone know"

"Wh... What about Olivia. What do I tell her?" I ask.

"Maybe its time to tell her about the organisation and your double life"

"No, mom and dad never wanted her to know while she is still in school"

"Ok but I have to send both of you away to go undercover because there is a good chance that Zane will come after you and your sister, so you will have to make something up"

"Ok, where are we going"

"New York"

"Why are we going undercover in one of the busiest cities"

"Because it is a pretty big city. I don't know how long you will be there so I have enrolled Olivia in a high school that isn't far from the apartment you will be staying in. I am not going to give you a new identity as it will just be confusing for Olivia but everything you need is in here" Johnson says as he hands me a yellow envelope.

"Is Ben coming as well"

"No, he begged me to let him go but I think its best if he stays out of this. He's just going to go with you to get you settled in then he will come back and handle everything from here. I will be sending a few agents to New York, they will be scattered around where you will be and if there is any trouble, you will have backup"

"Ok" I say as I start to walk to the door.

"I am also going to send Trey from IT with you. It will be safer for him to be with you at all times and he can be your eyes and ears. He should be waiting in the garage, in the car you will be taking, he will have everything you will need"
