Kat arrived at the café at 8:50 a.m. sharp. When she entered her ears were greeted by the ringing of the bell and her nose sensed the bitter smell of coffee grounds. She liked how it felt in there.
"Hey" said Revelyn, wiping her hands on her apron. She was looking less monotonous and dull than yesterday, but she still had the blank expression on her face. There were a few customers sitting at some tables, with their laptops open.
"Hi Revelyn!" Kat said, excited for her first shift at the café.
"Oh hey Kat!" Suzzane waved at Kat.
Kat waved back. Suzzane always appeared to be in a good mood, unlike Revelyn.Revelyn looked hot nonetheless.
"Revelyn could you please tell Kat what she needs to do for her shift here?"
"Okay," Revelyn replied, bored.
She took Kat by the hand and lead her into the kitchen.
"Basically, Suzzane receives the orders from the customer. She announces the order in the kitchen, along with the table number. Scott and Zoe start working on it and when they're done, they'll tell you. You pick up the order and take it to the table. After they're done, you go to the table with the receipt, pick up the empty glasses, take the money and give it to Suzzane."
"Hmm," murmured Kat thoughtfully, "That makes sense."
"We both will be doing the same job, since we are waitresses. We can decide who picks up the orders from the kitchen and who takes away the empty glasses from tables."
"I can pick up the empty glasses and take the money.." Kat said, not wanting to give Revelyn the difficult work.
"Okay then. You have to take the receipt from the counter."
"Alright."
"Here's your apron."
Revelyn picked up an apron from the back of a shelf and tossed it to Kat. Kat unfolded the garment and tried to wear it. It had to be tied from the back.
"Uhhh..." Kat whispered, trying to tie the lace properly.
Revelyn understood she needed help with it so she came closer to Kat before gently grabbing the lace from her hands and tying them into a bow. Kat could feel Revelyn's fingers on her back and started getting nervous.
"Thanks," said Kat after she was done.
"No problem, let's get to work."
The day went by smoothly. Obviously because Revelyn was the one helping Kat with everything. It was a hundred times less stressful than her previous job at the office. She actually enjoyed herself there.

"It's time for my break!" Kat said to herself when she looked at her watch. It was 11:30. She was free for 30 minutes. She texted Karina.
Kat

kayKarina had forgot about her meet-up with Kat. She was too busy daydreaming about her co worker to remember that.
"Hey Dilam I've to go right now, I have to meet someone urgently! I'll be back soon-" Karina told Dilam while running towards the door of the tattoo shop.
"What-" Dilam stopped when he realised Karina had already left. He chuckled when he saw Karina running towards her car.
"...she's precious..." he thought.
