Chapter 1: The Sprout

🎙️ Narrator's P.O.V.

On Plant Island, there was a girl named Mady. She discovered the land and became the caretaker of it. Along the way, Mady was friends with some of the monsters she bred like Rusch the Rare Bowgart, Mistletoez the Furcorn, and Hans the Mammott. Most of the monsters on Plant Island were in peace and harmony, until one day, Mady had a thought in her head.

🤎 Mady's P.O.V.

I wondered what would happen if I bred all elements like Earth, Nature, Ice, and Water all together. I contemplated that thought all day that some of the monsters on Plant Island were concerned about it. Rusch asked me if I was okay or not. I said that I was fine and that I was thinking of an idea. " What idea? " He said. I told Rusch the idea of breeding the four elements together, he just laughed and said that wouldn't be possible. Rusch didn't explain why, but I wanted to give that idea a shot.

So, as I was walking around Plant Island, I met up with Plumana the Potbelly and Tobegon the T-Rox and confronted them to breed since Plumana is Nature-based and Tobegon was both Earth, Water, and Ice. " Hold on a minute, you want US, me and Tobegon to breed!? " Plumana said, absolutely flabbergasted. " This must be some sort of twisted joke! " Tobegon said, outraged. The two started arguing and I didn't want this idea to fall out, so I made a deal with them.

" Okay! Okay! I will make a deal with you. If you accept my experiment, I'll bake you guys some pizzas. What do you think? " I said to the two monsters. " Fine, but it better not have any mushrooms on the pizza, or else you'll pay... " Plumana sighed. Tobegon also agreed with the offer too. " Good! Now, let me know if you guys are done, ok? " I said, relieved. As Plumana and Tobegon go up to the castle to do the " you-know-what " , I kill time by talking to some of my friends about the experiment I'm working on.

" How would that even be possible? " Hans said. " That's what I was saying to Mady earlier. Never in my life have I seen a fourth element monster. " Rusch said in doubt . " I don't know you guys, she actually might be onto something here. Who knows, it might work. " Mistletoez said. I was starting to get nervous when we discussed this. I mean, if my experiment fails, I would be the dumbest caretaker in the monster world! After a long day of discussion, we went into the castle to get some sleep for the next day.

🎙️ Narrator's P.O.V.

The next morning, Mady was visited by the two monsters, Plumana and Tobegon, saying that they were done breeding and that their egg is in the nursery. Mady thanked them and promised to bake the pizzas for the two. A few hours, she went to the nursery to check up on the egg. Mady had never seen this egg before in her life. Could it possibly be a fourth element egg right in front of her? Possibly.

Feeling enthusiastic about the experiment working out, Mady told her friends all about it. " Wait a minute, you really bred a fourth element monster? " Hans said. " Yeah! It's in the nursery right now. Wanna see it? " Mady said. " Sure thing, but before we look at it, I need to use the restroom. " Rusch said. " Ok, we'll wait for you. " Mady said.

Few minutes later, Rusch returned, saying that he was done, so they headed off to the nursery to check out the egg.

When they got there, the egg had suddenly vanished.

🤎 Mady's P.O.V.

I started sweating when that egg suddenly disappeared. I could've sworn it was there a while ago. " Ummm... Where is it? '' Hans asked. " I could've sworn that the egg was right in here. " I said nervously. " Don't worry guys, little old Mady is just lost in Dreamland. Come on guys, let's go back. '' Rusch chuckled. " Later... " I said, disappointed. The only monster that didn't leave was Mistletoez. He sat next to me and said " Listen, Mady, I believe that you had an egg in the nursery. Someone must've thought it would be funny to steal it. "

" Yeah, I bet someone stole it. But I'm not gonna cry about it. I mean, I am disappointed, but it's just a stupid egg, right? " I said to Mistletoez. " I guess so. " Mistletoez replied. " Anyways, I should get going. See you around, Mistletoez. " I said. " Ok, I'll catch up to you later, Mady! " Mistletoez said.

As I was going to the castle to fidget and forget all about the egg shenanigans. I heard some noises coming from the bushes. But I just ignored it since I was " stuck in Dreamland " .

🎙️ Narrator's P.O.V.

Now, you may be asking yourself, " Where's the stolen egg? " . Well, it wasn't really stolen, but it's pretty much hidden in the bushes so no one, not even Mady would see it on Plant Island. The egg was shaking around somewhere in the bushes. It's probably hatching underneath there. Every crack broke out of the shell as the monster revealed itself. Horns grow out of the bushes as the monster grows overnight.

💚 Beau the Entbrat's P.O.V.

Where am I? It seems like I was placed in the bushes during incubation. I try to get out of there, but one of my horns seems to be stuck. I pulled as hard as I could to get out of this tangled mess until I finally managed to get myself out of there. Next thing I know is that I tripped over one of the branches and ended up damaging one of the bakery structures and my left arm included. I let out a huge yelp that rumbled the ground beneath me.

🤎 Mady's P.O.V.

I was sound asleep until I heard a loud scream coming from outside. It disturbed all the monsters inside the castle. I checked out the window to see a sobbing monster that had fallen and with an arm that seemed to be damaged. The monster looked similar to the egg that someone stole from me, so I ran downstairs and out of the castle to take a good peek at the monster. I slowly walked up to the monster to ask if they're ok. " NO! I AM NOT!! " They boomed. I said " O-ok, calm down! Listen, take some deep breaths. "

The unknown monster breathed in and out to calm themselves down. They started to relax and became under control. " Now, I'm gonna go get a first aid kit to fix that arm of yours, ok? " I said to the monster. They nodded as I ran up to the castle to grab the first aid kit.

💚 Beau the Entbrat's P.O.V.

As I waited there for the small human to get some band-aids, I looked at the castle she went into. Some monsters up at the castle windows glared at me like I'm some sort of freak. It kinda made me feel uncomfortable, so I just covered my face in shame. Few moments later, the small human came back with the band-aids and some antibiotic cream to heal it. She added the antibiotic cream on the band aid and put it on my left arm where the scar is. I flinched when the antibiotic cream stinged me. " I know it stings, big guy, but it's going to be okay. " The small human said, so I remained calm through the process of it.

" And all done! " The small human said. Then she asked me what my name was, I told her that I didn't have a name and that I was just born here. " How about I name you Beau? Seems like a nice name. " The small human said. I said yes, so now my name is Beau I guess. And then I asked her what her name was. " My name? Well, my name is Mady. It's a pleasure to meet you, Beau. " The small human said, smiling. So, the small human's name is...Mady. I like that name. " You can come inside the castle if you want. I bet you must be very tired from what happened tonight. " Mady said. Indeed, I was extremely tired, so I nodded as we went up to the castle.

She led me to my room. There were 4 sets of beds in the room for me, just what I needed. As I laid on the beds, I could feel the softness of the mattresses and blankets touching my skin that felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. Mady tucked me to bed and wished me good night and switched the night light on for me as I drifted to sleep.
