...

It was chilly that night, the stars lingering above them. As Mingi rubbed at his arms, a jacket was placed over his shoulders. He glanced back to meet the fond smile of his Boyfriend who reached up to ruffle his hair. Smiling, he slid his arms into the sleeves and huddled closer to the other. It was autumn, the winter swiftly approaching them. When his hands were freed from the confines of the sleeve he was quick to thread their fingers together, swinging their arms slightly as they walked down the road. It wasn't too late, other students were leaving their night classes, piling out onto the streets to walk home.

They had no destination in mind as they meandered together. As they passed a convenience store, Mingi tugged Gwi-Nam towards the door, leading him inside where he picked out a boba and some ramen. The other wordlessly did the same, knowing that he would be paid for.

"It's nice out tonight," Mingi said as they walked over to a small table where they could eat after they paid, plopping down in a chair as his ramen cooked. Taking the time to pour his packet of tea into his cup of ice. The other hummed in agreement as he stirred his tteokbokki in his own bowl.

"Ah, you look so cute in my jacket," Gwi-Nam chides gently as the other begins to slurp up his ramen. A light blush dust the cheeks of the tracksuit wearing teen who clears his throat and rubs at his cheeks, embarrassed. The bully chuckles, reaching over to gently push his hand from his face before he lifts a rice cake up to his boyfriend's lips. "Try some of my tteokbokki, baby."

He parted his lips, letting the other pop the food into his mouth. He chewed it with a content hum, swallowing it down before he picked up his milk tea, holding it out towards the other who leaned forwards to take a sip.

Mingi grumbled as he woke up, feeling someone lingering beside them. An unfamiliar energy that was intruding upon their space. When his eyes finally opened they landed on the principal who seemed to be trying to wake Gwi-Nam up. He glanced over to the knives next to them- which the other must've placed there, he didn't remember falling asleep. When he began moving the principal looked to him.

"You, you're Kim Mingi right? And he's Yoon Gwi-Nam..." The principal asked for confirmation. Gwi-Nam stirred awake at his words, seemingly awakening from the others presence. He didn't seem too concerned with the other being there. Especially not when he saw his boyfriend watching him like a hawk. Mingi slid the arm that had been wrapped behind the other towards the table silently grabbing one of the knives, unbeknownst to their elder.

"So?" Gwi-Nam replied, finally, as he looked up at the old man unbothered. The other pulled his arm free, stashing the knife behind him.

"What's it like outside?" The principal continued, not supplying an answer to the boy. The boyfriends glanced between each other, emotionlessly before glancing back at him. They had been in that room at least overnight, who was to say what had changed since the day before.

"I don't know..." Gwi-Nam answered finally.

"You can drive right?" The principal turned his head towards Mingi who immediately shook his head 'no', even though he definitely could. He didn't know where this was going, but he didn't like it. He never liked the principal, though he was glad he had managed to keep his boyfriend out of juvy this long. The principal was a cowardly bastard who only cared about his image, and the image of the school. In a better world, on a better day, he would've gone to jail for his actions. Instead, if he made one slip up, he was dead. As far as Mingi was concerned. "I know you can, I had to cover for you after you crashed his dad's car last year." The principal spoke, pointing at him with an eye roll. Then he turned over his shoulder, shuffling through his desk to pull something out, Mingi gripped the knife behind him as he shared a puzzled look with Gwi-Nam.
