......

Gasping for breath, he finally was able to register his surroundings. The sounds of light crying came to a brief halt as he inhaled, practically twitching to life. He panicked, struggling in the arms of whomever was holding onto him as he regained his bearings trying to recall what had led up to this moment. He remembered killing the principal, chasing after Gwi-Nam as they tried to get the phone from Cheong-san. He could recall getting separated and seeing his boyfriend be thrown to his death, then his brief attempt to get the other boy before he had broken his ankle and been bitten due to his inability to put any sort of weight on the wound. He tried to feel for any pain in his leg, but there was none. He continued wiggling to break free.

"Baby, baby it's okay. Breathe."

Gwi? He stopped struggling, and the other pulled away. Mingi frowned as his gaze landed on the other's gouged out eye. It wasn't a nightmare, he thought, flinching back the slightest as one of the undead approached them both with a loud growl, sniffing at them before dismissively walking away.

"What the fuck is going on?" Mingi breathed out as he calmed down, lifting a finger to trace under his injured eye. He needed an eyepatch. He frowned as the other's grin spread, a sinister fire burning in the only iris he had left.

"We're gods baby. Practically fucking immortal," Gwi-Nam mused as he shoved one of them back that had come to sniff at them. "What happened after I fell? What happened to you?" Mingi grimaced, looking at the pileup of fallen bookshelves, the other glanced back to where he was looking.

"I was climbing the bookshelves to get to Cheong-san when these assholes knocked them over," he gestured to the empty headed zombies milling about the room. "When they fell my foot got stuck I guess, I don't even remember it happening I just crawled out and tried to stand and it hurt so fucking bad... That asshole ran past me and I jumped on him and punched him in the face. He shoved me off, and I tried to stand again but I couldn't and before I could figure out how to hobble out of here, that one," he pointed at one of the corpses that stumbled along, "took a chunk out of my leg so I sucked it up and came to die next to you." After he finished explaining, the other gripped his hands gently, they met eyes. Gwi-Nam leaned forward to kiss his nose.

"I was afraid you wouldn't end up like me," The other spoke as he pulled back to stare into his eyes with the one he had left. "I'm so glad you are, we're gonna rule this place together like we always should've..." He finished, leaning forward to plant a soft kiss to his lips.

"Mmm, we should get Cheong-san before we leave and explore the city together. We can even take the principal's car." Mingi laughs, reaching into his pocket to produce the keys when the other's eyebrows furrowed. He hadn't even noticed he still had the key. Gwi-Nam beamed a bit sinisterly as he looked between the keys and his boyfriend before he leaned forward and melded their lips together again. He stayed there for a moment, pulling the other close, fingers gripping his track jacket tightly. Mingi let out a satisfied noise, throwing his arms over the other's shoulder as he wiggled closer to the other until they were chest to chest. As their lips moved together, the loud speaker crackled to life.

"Testing testing, 1.. 2.. 3..."

"Hey quit it Dae-su, it's working fine."

Mingi clutched at his ears, wincing as he pulled back covering his eardrums. Gwi-Nam was in a similar state, stumbling back from him as he clutched at his ears.

"Cheong-san, can you hear us? Stay right where you are, we're coming to get you."

"I know what you're going to say, but we can't hear you. We're coming to get you."

"Don't even think about moving! " A familiar female's voice chimed in, the name On-jo ringing in Mingi's mind.

The couple shared a glance, Gwi-Nam pulling him to his feet by the hand. He glanced up into his eyes before nodding. They had work to do.

"Let's go kill Cheong-san." They chimed in unison, linking fingers as they walked out into the hallway, completely unphased by the lingering undead. The zombies of the school were oblivious, meandering past them.
