I stood there thinking to myself.
"Hey, Akio, you should sit with me for when the girls show up!"
"No he shouldn't, Tamaki..."
Kyoya sighed.
'So the energetic guy is named Tamaki. Ok, I'll make a mental note of that.'
"Oh why not?"
"He should sit with us..."
Both twins said with seductive smiles.
"How 'bout you sit with Mori and I, Aki-chan?!"
Honey yelled.
"U-uhh...ummm... C-could I sit with you Haruhi?"
Everyone was surprised.
"Why me?"
"W-well, you seem... I don't know... Calm and... Approachable?"
"Uhm... Ok. I guess you can sit with me."
"Yay!"
I ran over to where she was sitting and sat down right next to her. Then, I heard a purring sound. I looked under the couch to see the cat.
"Ah! I didn't mean to hide right there!"
"Who are you talking to?"
"Oh! U-uhmm... The cat from earlier is under the couch... Heheh..."
I rubbed the back of my neck nervously. That made me sad because I felt my short hair brush against my hand.
"Ok, well is everyone at their stations?"
Everyone said yes.
"Well then, everyone get ready. Here comes the fangirls."
He opened the door and walked to his set of couches. I watched as at least 200 girls ran into the club room.
"Wow... T-that's alot of girls..."
Almost half of them noticed me right away and screamed.
All of the girls ran over to me and Haruhi and forgot about everyone else.
"U-uuhhh... What do I do?"
'Act like me.'
'Oh god... When you're human, they may think you're gay...'
'What?!'
'Sorry...'
I look frantically from one girl to the other. They seemed to notice my nervousness and backed off.
"Ladies, please. Why are you all backing away from our new guy?"
Tamaki asked as he walked by the girls.
"He looks scared..."
"I-I'm not used to big c-crowds..."
My body started to shake.
"Heheh... Sorry... I-it's not your
f-fault... No one knew. H-hey, Haruhi? D-do you guys have any other,
s-smaller rooms?"
My body shook like crazy. It looked like I was shivering.
"Umm... Kyoya? Do we?"
"Yes. Follow me."
"O-ok..."
I got up but instantly fell back down.
"O-oww..."
"Here... We'll help you."
Hikaru and Kaoru grabbed my arms and helped me walk.
'This is sooo embarrassing!'
'Well... I don't know what to tell you...'
I heard squeals come from behind as all of the girls saw the cat.
'You can't hide very well can you...?'
'Oh... Yeah, I forgot...'
We all finally get to the other room. The twins sat me down on the couch that was in there. I layed down and sighed.
"S-sorry for t-troubling you all..."
The cat jumped up on the couch then onto my stomach and curled up to lay down. It calmed my shaking down a little.
"Why does that cat follow you?"
Hikaru asked.
"Oh... Umm... It's my pet from home..."
The cat lifted its head and gave me a death glare.
'When I'm human again I am going to give you such a hard time for all of the things you have said I am!'
'Fair enough...'
The cat layed back down.
"Heh... Seems it didn't like being called a pet."
Kaoru said with a smile.
"Yeah... He really hates it..."
I pet the cat on the top of the head.
"So, what is its name?"
"Oh, it's Mr. Midnight! Midnight for short, of course."
Kyoya walks over to me and kneels beside me.
"It is a very well groomed cat."
"And it's pretty cute!"
Both twins kneeled beside Kyoya and petted the cat. He was surprised at first but then surprised me by letting them pet him.
"Is he alright?"
We heard Tamaki ask from the doorway.
"Y-yeah... I'm only shaking a little bit now. But other than that, I'm the same as I was when I first walked in."
I smiled to tryand pretend that I was ok.
'Stop lying...'
'I don't want them worrying about someone they just met. It'd be too much of a hassle for them all...'
I sighed and felt a single tear run down my face.
"Why are you crying?"
Hikaru asked as he looked at me closely.
"Here. If you keep your glasses on the tears will smudge them."
Kyoya removed my glasses but I instantly closed my eyes.
"What's wrong? Are you hurt?"
"What's the matter Aki-chan?"
I heard Honey walk in and just assumed Mori was with him.
"I-I... *sob* I don't know w-why I'm crying..."
I covered my eyes as I felt the cat on my chest rise and cuddle up to my face.
"Heheh... M-Midnight... What're you. d-doing?"
I said through my tears.
I felt someone place their hand on my head.
"Are you ok?"
I hear Mori ask.
"Y-yeah... I seriously d-don't know why I am c-crying..."
I wipe away my tears and sit up. I keep my eyes shut.
"Can I please have my glasses back now?"
"Why don't you open your eyes first?"
I heard Hikaru ask.
"B-because... I-I can't see without them..."
"C'mon... Just open your eyes for us."
I hear Tamaki ask in a sweet and tender voice.
"F-fine..."
I slowly opened my eyes. At the same time, everyone else's eyes grew wider and wider. All of them started to blush slightly.
'They think you look cute!'
'S-shut up!'
"Ah... Umm... Why are you a-all staring at me?"
Tamaki stood up straight and looked towards Kyoya. Kyoya returned his gaze with a nod. Then he looked at the twins then Mori and they did the same. Then he looked at Haruhi.
"You keep him company with Honey-senpai while we're gone, ok Haruhi?"
"Alright...?"
She seemed just as confused as me.
"W-what are you guys doing? Where are you going?"
No one answered me.
"Mitsukuni, come with me."
"But I was supposed to keep him company!"
Honey started to pout.
"Just c'mon. You never get to help right? So c'mon."
Honey ran after Mori to catch up with him.
"Ah... I get what they're doing!"
Haruhi seemed to make a breakthrough.
"What are they all doing?"
I asked hesitantly.
"They are doing the same thing they did to me. Got contacts, a new uniform, and had someone style mt hair so I can be a host to pay off a debt I had to them."
"B-but I didn't do anything to have to repay a debt..."
"Maybe they thought you'd be a good addition to our host club!"
She smiled at me.
