"Is there anywhere that is quiet in this building?!"
I say to myself as I walk up a set of pink tinted stairs to a well decorated door.
" 'Music room'... Let's try here..."
I adjust my glasses and take a deep breath. I open the door to be met by a gust of wind and a buch of red rose petals.
"What the...?"
I watched as six guys and a girl came into view. The thing was, the girl was wearing the same type of clothes as the guys. It seemed they had a theme to what they were all wearing. It seemed the theme was punks. Like bad boy outfits. Then I heard one of them speak.
"Tsk. New kid, eh? Hey Kaoru, let's teach'im not to walk in here before everyone else."
One of the twins said with a smirk.
"Of course, Hikaru..."
They both started to walk towards me, then before I knew it, they were both right infront of me.
"You two are taking this too seriously..."
The girl said with a sigh.
"Awww... C'mon Haruhi! We're just having fun!"
"Yeah! Lighten up!"
The two backed away and they were replaced by the girl called Haruhi.
"Sorry about that. I'm Haruhi and the ones you just met were the Hitachiin twins, Hikaru and Kaoru."
"N-nice to meet you..."
"Oh? Are you a new boy in the school?"
I heard someone else ask.
"New boy? Oh! Y-yeah! My n-name's Akio. Fujimori Akio."
I held out my hand to the girl but someone else grabed it and pulled me down a little. I looked at who grabed my hand to see a little boy with a pink bunny in his arms.
"Hi! My name's Honey!"
"Honey?"
"That's his nickname."
A man with glasses said as he wrote something down on a piece of paper.
"Wh-... Who are all of you?"
"Oh! We are the Ouran Academy Highschool Host Club!"
"The what?"
The guy that said the title so enthusiastically ran to a corner and was really depressed.
"Eh?! What'd I say?!"
I frantically looked around at them all. The girl sighed.
"You didn't say anything mean or anything. He just gets this way when someone doesn't know who we are."
"O-oh..."
I sighed in relief and felt the boy on my arm was still there. He started to tug and tug.
"Mitsukuni, you should quit it before you tug his arm off..."
A tall man said from the back of the room.
"I see you're being as creepy as usual, Mori."
"C'mon Kyoya. Be a little bit happy, please?"
He wrapped his arm around Kyoya's shoulders. I was smiling so much that the twins noticed.
"So you are one of THOSE guys, eh?"
"W-what?!"
I remembered that they all thought I was a boy.
"O-oh... Yeah..."
I rolled my eyes and sat on one of the many couches.
"Oh dear. It seems we are 10 minutes late from opening. *sigh*... All of the girls will be pretty angry but may calm down once they see the new guy."
He looked over to me and saw I was sitting up strait and looking at something on the floor.
"What is it, Akio?"
"Th-there's... Just a spider."
I looked down at a black cat that sat there being more silent than a mouse. How it got in, I had no idea.
"Are you sure? You look too fascinated for it to just be a spider."
I felt Kyoya's presence behind me and I looked up slightly. That's when the cat jumped up on my lap and stared into my eyes once I looked back at it. I watched as it's eyes dimmed then brightened.
"Awww! That is such a cute kitty!"
Honey ran over and tried to pet it but it hissed and swatted at him.
"Ah!"
"Ow! It scratched me!!!"
As soon as it had scratched him, I picked up the cat and walked to the corner of the room while everyone else was tending to Honey. I crouched down beside the cat.
"Why are you here?"
I said in a low whisper.
"I don't need you following me around. I don't even think I can have pets here!"
'Why don't you ask then?'
I heard a boys voice resound in my head. It almost sounded like mine.
"Uggh... That gives me a headache... Don't do that."
'Sorry but I can't talk in this form so... This is the best I can do.'
The cat rubbed up against my finger.
'Just let me stay by you. I'm supposed to protect you.'
"What can you do in that form?"
"Who are you talking to?"
I heard one of the twins behind me.
"Ah!"
I turned so quickly that I fell on my butt.
"Ow..."
"How'd that hurt? And you still didn't answer the question.
"Uhh... Well, to the second one, I fell on my tail bone and to the first question... Well..."
"C'mon. Spit it out."
"I was talking to this cat. I-I... Was scolding it!"
"For what?"
He looked at me confused.
"I was scolding it for sratching Honey."
Hikaru shrugged and turned.
"Hey, this is random but do you remember which twin I am?"
"Uhh... Duh! You're Hikaru."
"Hmhm... Wrong."
"No I'm not. Some can't tell, but you have a lower voice than Kaoru."
Hikaru was turned towards me slightly. He was looking at me with wide eyes and his jaw dropped. I started to giggle. I looked back at him. He looked away quickly and grunted. He seemed to be blushing.
"*Sigh* ok... Cat,"
I looked back at the cat.
"Your name will be Mr. Midnight. Midnight for short. Got it?"
'Yes master...'
The cat seemed to smile jokingly after he said master.
"Good. Just, stay hidden until you hear me call your new name."
He ran off.
'Y'know? I'm actually glad you're here...
