"Maddie?" I started, sitting on the floor with my head resting on my bed.
"Yeah?" She asked, peering up from her book.
We had started to grow closer. Well, i mean, that's kinda something that happens when you live with someone.
But there was something about her that I didn't understand. Well not about her, i don't know, it's hard to explain. It was more like what I did when she was around.
She made me nervous. When I see her, heart beats faster than it normally does. And I randomly think about her, more than normal.
I could be doing something that has nothing to do with her and somehow, she will sneak into my thoughts.
I don't know what it is. But i have other things to worry about anyway. Like The Guard being after me.
I decided not to worry about either of those things right now.
"What are you reading?" I asked, nodding my head slightly towards her.
"Nothing really," she smiled.
"What's it about?"
"Well basically there is this guy-"
I listened as she ranted about the book, a smile starting to form on my face.
I loved listening to her rant about things. I didn't even care what it was, just the amount of passion she had for everything.
Before I hadn't been sure about what to do about The Guard.
But at that moment i decided that they wouldn't be taking me without a fight.
