All day at school I felt my eyes drooping a little at each word my teachers spoke. For some reason I was completely exhausted which was weird because I passed out earlier than usual last night.
When I finally approached my car I let out a heavy sigh. The thought of being able to go home and most likely lay in bed for the rest of the day excited me.
That was until I got a text from my mom to pick up some milk and coffee grains.Involuntarily i started my car. I decided the nearest grocery store would do. The fact it was drizzling and the sky was grey made me feel even more tired.
Passing through all the shelves I couldn't find the coffee grains so I moved on to getting the milk first. Grabbing the one with the green cap that means reduced fat I assume is the one my mom would want.
Groaning at how heavy it was I dragged it towards the aisle with all the coffee stuff. Then I realized the one my mom specifically wanted was all the way on the top shelf.
"You have to be kidding me." I mumbled to myself.
Placing the heavy gallon of milk on the floor I stood up on my tippy toes straightening my back slightly jumping swinging my hand on the top shelf attempting to somewhat have a chance at grabbing the stupid item.
I heard a chuckle in amusement coming from behind me. Turing my hard I felt my cheeks heat in embarrassment.
Coach Styles.
"Step aside." He easily towers over me and grabs the coffee grains handing it over to me.
"Oh uh thanks." I nervously push a strand of hair behind my ear looking down avoiding the obvious tint of hot pink on my cheeks.
I felt him step a little closer to me. Maybe it was my imagination but I felt the space between us closing. My breathing began to pick up and I felt myself become slightly anxious or maybe even flustered. I was more unsure at the moment than anything. The only thing I could focus on was how he had his hands pressed on the shelf with his arms next to both sides of my head.
"Do I make you nervous?" There was a cocky tone in Coach Styles's voice.
I look up at him through my lashes not willing to completely look at him eye to eye. Not cause I didn't want to only cause I couldn't.
"No." I answered slightly breathless. That was probably the biggest lie I've ever told.
"Hm." He hummed.
His face was close to mine. I wasn't sure what was going on but before I could read the situation he pushed his hands off the shelf backing up opening the space between us.
"See you tomorrow."
And with that he walked away.
