Request from @Ristiriita. So sorry for the delay, and I hope it was to your liking.

(Request: I have a request for your (amazing) rdr2 one-shot book :) i don't know if you feel comfortable writing the theme and if this is the case, tell me and i'll come up with another request. I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable :)

Could you do one where the reader is lonely and feels miserable? She drowns her feelings by doing work and chores and by doing so she also hides her feelings from others. Even tough she doesn't want help, Hosea comes to the aid with his warm comfort and fatherly love.

Ask away if needed:)

Have a lovely day/night x

Walking around camp, drowning yourself with chores until you could barely stay on the surface was not unusual for you, but nor was it healthy.

As you are walking up to your next chore, mentally preparing yourself, you feel a hand on your shoulder, making you stop and turn around. You spot Arthur Morgan with his usual serious face, giving you your bandana. "What's this for, mister Morgan?" you ask, though deep down you know the answer.

"Dutch wants us to rob another train. We need your help as it is an unusual one. Come on, I will fill you in on the way there." You nod and put the bandana on your face, walking to your horse.

On the way, you meet Hosea. You give him a slight nod, though he stops you for a second. You look at him, though before you can protest, he starts talking. "Where exactly do you think you are going? I have seen you working so much lately, take a break Y/N!" You give him a glare and reply.

"Hosea, can you leave me be? I am trying to help the gang here, so excuse me, you're in my way." You scoff, mounting your horse

"Y/N..." you hear him say, but you don't give him a chance to talk, as you are already off on your horse.

"So what exactly are we robbing again? An unusual train?" You yell at Arthur while focusing on the road. Arthur yells back and starts explaining how there can be a big reward, but also a huge amount of guards. He needs your help with holding off the guards while Micah and Lenny go inside the train and rob it.

"I am sorry to doubt your plan, but isn't that a tad bit dangerous?" You ask, uncertainty clear in your voice. "Oh, Arthur what are you doing to the poor girl? Y/N trust me you will be fine. You got Arthur, Charles, and Bill next to you so you aren't alone." Micah exclaims. "Now relax and try to focus, alright?". You take a deep breath and nod toward Micah with a slight smile, before pulling up your bandana, so it covers your face.

Upon arriving, Arthur tells everyone to leave their horses in the forest nearby and continue on foot. "Just another job, just another job." You whisper to yourself, trying to calm your beating heart.

With the rifle equipped on your back, you are slowly approaching the train with the rest of the gang. You look around and spot a few guards on the top of the train - not too many, fortunately. Arthur turns around and whispers, "we can either try to do this quietly and take as many guards as we can without alerting the others, or we can go full in and just shoot everyone in our way." Bill nods at the second option, though Charles protests. "Shooting everyone in our way may bring us more guards than necessary. How about we stick to the actual plan and sneak our way in quietly to take down the guards?" Arthur puts his hands up in a calming manner, "I understand that, but look around you! There are, what, 8 guards at most? We can easily take them down." Charles shrugs and mutters a 'whatever you say'. Arthur nods and tells everyone to get ready.
