Shane was stocking shelves at Joja Mart, as he normally would on a day like this. But he looked towards the glass door, and saw something he had seen before, but hadn't thought of. A tall, lean man about his age with long, chestnut brown hair. What was his name again? He had forgotten. It started with an E. But before he could think another thought, he realized that he was looking at the man's rear end, and drooling. Shane stopped staring and continued with his work.
While all this was going on, Anna, the new farmer, was doing her usual afternoon trash fishing. Right when she had dug some Joja Cola out of the Joja Mart can, she saw Elliot walking by. She waved to him, but all he said was "Stop that! Yuck!" That's what people always said when they saw her in the trash. But through the glass doors of Joja Mart, she saw something better than Joja Cola: Shane was staring at Elliot. First it was just his face but soon, his focus was directed at Elliot's behind. And Elliot, as if he could sense that Shane was looking at him, blushed.
And Elliot could tell that someone was looking at him. More importantly, that someone was looking at his rear end. But he didn't know who until a few nights later when he went to the saloon and totally destroyed himself on a dare, and may or may not have humiliated himself with some weird song.
It all began on a typical Saturday night at the Stardrop Saloon. Elliot had gone a bit too far on the booze and ended up getting cut off. Gus looked at him and frowned. "Elliot, I'm gonna have to cut you off." No matter how much he begged and pleaded, he couldn't get another drink. Well, at some point, someone got out the old karaoke machine and Elliot and Shane went a little crazy on "Barbie Girl.*" And with the first "You can brush my hair, undress me everywhere," Elliot flipped his hair and unbuttoned his shirt. And at "You can touch, you can play. If you say, I'm always yours." Elliot threw off his shirt, and Shane jumped on his shoulders. The people of Pelican Town were shocked to see two drunk men singing that song. But they couldn't help but sing along.
Then, the song was almost over, and Elliot sang the final verse. "Oh, I love you Ken!" But Shane heard his own name in place of "Ken" and Elliot in place of "Barbie." (But only on the speaking parts because "Elliot Girl" would sound weird.) Finally, the two walked home, drunk and in love.
Sorry, kind of a short first chapter.
*"Barbie Girl" is a song by Aqua about sexual and controlling relationships, which is unusual considering that it is in a major key.
