They had made it to Missouri and stopped on the side of the road. The group still didn't trust Delilah fully so they made her ride in the back with 10k, addy, and mack.
She blocked out their conversation and put her head down. They got back on the road.
"Surrender all weapons, are they serious?" 10k asked which made Delilah perk up.
"Looks like." Mack replied.
The guard lady yelled something but Delilah didn't really care.
They all gave their weapons up Delilah was behind 10k.
She watched as he put all of his weapons on the counter. She stifled a laugh when he pulled out a chain from his pants.
She put her two hunting knives up then her pistol then her drumsticks.
She put her arms up as the girl checked her body for metal.
It beeped at her stomach she lifted up her shirt to show her diamond belly button ring.
She smirked slightly and walked out.
She was at the back of the group and the guy was giving them a tour and explaining why they don't carry guns.
She grabbed a plate and put some fruits and vegetables on it she also got a cup of water.
Delilah sat at the end of the table eating silently when she heard the others talking.
"She's awfully quiet." Mack said staring at her. "Maybe we just got to get to know her more." Addy suggested.
"I don't know she creeps me out kinda acts like a bitch." Mack said again.
"I don't know she seems sweet." 10k said. She took a drink of her water and let her head rest in her hand.
Delilah noticed the girl from the church get up and walk out. She got up and followed her out.
10k saw and followed her to.
She turned a corner into a room where she saw the girl go. Delilah followed the girl to the front of the province.
She stepped on something and looked down she squatted down and picked up a cross.
She saw the girl fall over when she felt someone behind her. She balled up her fist and was about to hit the person when she realized it was 10k.
She stopped and furrowed her eyebrows. "What the hell are you doing." she asked looking up at him. "I saw you leave and I wanted to make sure your okay." He explained.
"Well I'm fine so you can just go back." She said about to leave.
He grabbed her wrist and spun her back around. "I saw who you were going after she seems suspicious to me as well." He told her.
He looked down and saw he was still holding onto her wrist he blushed and let go.
She felt a crevice in the cross and opened it it was covered in blood. She looked up at 10k and then back at the girl.
The person at the gate started helping her. The girl bit the guard and then the both went after the male guard.
"Shit." She said. Her and 10k started running up to the small building they were met with a glass door. The boy from earlier was a zombie.
The ran back getting chased by the zombies. The made it to door that had a large cross up against it the removed it and the group came out.
"10k, Delilah." They heard someone say.
"We've been using the roofs to move, the cult freaks are in the compound armed." 10k explained.
"Murphy?" Warren asked. "Haven't seen him." Delilah replied. "We need weapons, then we'll find Murphy, let's go." Garnett ordered.
They all started to run but two people with guns were around the corner. "Greetings! Brothers and sisters the resurrection church welcomes you, please raise your hands to the heavens, or I will resurrect you were you stand." One of the guys with the guns said. Delilah, 10k, and Cassandra all looked at each other.
They all raised their hands but Cassandra, 10k and Delilah took off with people shooting at them.
Delilah clicked making a guy turn around, 10k hit him with a pipe knocking him out.
10k grabbed the gun and they went to a window and opened it. He set up the gun and aimed it.
"Shoot him." Cassandra yelled. "I can't get a shot." 10k replied. Delilah thought of something.
"We need to get to the roof, Cassandra you get the truck." She told them. 10k and Delilah started running to the roof.
They got up on the roof but Murphys head was in the way. "Dammit." 10k whispered.
10k sniped the guy as he shot Garnett. Cassandra pulled up with the truck.
10k and Delilah got off the roof when she saw her drumsticks on the ground. She picked them up and started running to the truck.
Delilah and 10k were sitting in the bed of the truck with Cassandra, addy and mack when the trucked stopped suddenly.
Warren took 10k's sniper and aimed it. She sniped Garnetts zombie body and then the priest.
They were back on the road.
Delilah was about to fall asleep and hit the ground but 10k caught her. She sat up and put her head on his shoulder and fell asleep.
