Let's go about two years back.
"Mom, hurry up! It's getting late and I want to spend as much time as I can there!"
She doesn't reply.
"Mom!" I shout even louder.
"I'm coming! Hold your horses, what are you so excited about? Where are you going? I hope you're not going to any party to get drunk."
Okay, these are the usual mom questions, I mean, its understandable I guess, I'm still 15 and of course she wants to protect me, but these questions are frustrating to say the least.
"What the hell! Of course not mom, I told her we would be there half an hour ago!" I said with frustration in my voice, knowing that what I just said was half a lie, I wasn't going to a party, but as young teenagers do, we wanted to rebel, and get totally wasted in the park.
You might be a little lost right now, so let me full you in: I'm going to my best friends house, okay well old best friend, ever since I've moved schools we don't talk as much, but when we do, its as if nothing had ever changed, you know? We had planned this night for ages now, just her, me and our other friend Guliana. By the way, her name is Erica. And we are going to get totally smashfaced drunk.
Finally after 10 minutes of agonizing wait, my mother starts the car. Another 20 minutes until I see my best friend again!

"Hi girl!", Erica says while running to me, "I missed you way too much, on the reals."
"Hey ugly! I missed you too, let's go inside my mom won't drive away until the gate is locked." I said laughing and rolling my eyes.
The house is cold, but has a familiar feeling, I'd been here many times before but today felt different, her parents had left the for the next 2 days and it was school holidays, today was definitely something I'd looked forward to for a long time.
"Would you like something to eat? shortshit." Erica looked at me, her being about a head taller than me. I gave her the evils.
"Nah I already ate, Erry Ferry, let's go fetch Gigi, and walk to the shops before it gets late." I said in an annoying, mocking voice.

On the walk to Gulianas house, we got a few whistles and hoots from the passing cars, knowing they weren't for me, I glanced at Erica each time.
Let me describe Erica for you, long straight blonde hair and emerald green eyes, tall straight stature and a personality that could kill, she was sassy and funny and everything a best friend should be. I used to envy her when we were younger, she was the girl everyone wanted to be - so I'm sure you can agree how unbelievable it was that someone like Erica wanted to be friends with me; Savannah- short, brunette, brown eyed Savannah. It was in seventh grade, we were in the same class and just grew closer and closer, she taught me about makeup, shaving your legs and everything a big sister would do, I looked up to her, literally and figuratively. We eventually arrived at Gulianas house, she ran out and gave us a hug, her big brown eyes looked excited, she had this wavy black hair and she was my height, but man was she more, if not as beautiful as Erica. I'd known her a little longer than Erica, we were all friends from primary school.
"Oooooh my gosh, Savvy and Erry! Let's get to the liquor store before it closes? " Guliana says in a squeaky, little girls voice, clearly just as excited as us.
"Okay you little alcoholic." Erica said.
***
We had to pay a man outside the shop to get us two huge bottles of apple vodka, a few ciders, a six pack of smirnoff, and two smaller bottles of wine.
We had enough alcohol to knock out an elephant I guess, but this was to last two days, here's to being reckless teenagers we thought, little did I know one thing would lead to another on our drunken journey the next morning, and I'd meet the boy I'd eventually fall in love with.
