Home again

Tighnari POV:

I was up before sunrise packing up our belongings and placing them by the door. After I had finished I sat by Cyno as he slept and scrolled through some Instagram posts on my phone. An hour or so passed and the sun began to rise, not long after, Cyno awoke.
"Nari? You're awake? Did you even sleep..?"
"Good morning to you too, and yes I did sleep"
"Oh.. how are your legs?"
That mf was laughing so hard I'm surprised Collei didn't wake up, I must have looked like a blushing mess to him
"fine.. my legs are fine."
"if you're getting used to it.. I don't have to hold back next time, right?~"
"um- uh well.."
I mumbled up my words to the point that not even I could tell what I was trying to say, anyways after a few minutes Collei woke up as well and we all got dressed and ready to leave.
"Are you two ready to go?"
"I am, are you ready Cy?"
"C-Cy? Uh yeah.. I'm ready"
He was pretty shocked, but to be honest I didn't know how he was going to react, which was my purpose of saying it to begin with. We all grabbed our bags and left, heading for the dock to catch a boat ride, thankfully this one was to Sumeru and not Liyue.. I wasn't too sure how much longer my legs were gonna be 'fine'.
We got in the boat and took a seat as other passengers did the same. As the boat began moving I rested my head on Cyno's shoulder for a while, just quietly thinking.
"Hey, Collei?"
"Yes, Master?"
"I've never thought about it before..but uh do you like anyone?"
Clearly that caught Cyno's attention because he sat up and looked over at Collei as well. Her face was a light shade of pink not too bright though.
"No- why'd that question come to mind?"
"Don't know I just realized I never knew"
The remaining part of the boat ride was pretty quiet, every now and then a few conversations but not too many. Eventually we arrived back in Sumeru, and exited the boat.
"Home at last, are you gonna join us to the forest, Mr. Cyno?"
"No sadly, I've got some things I need to cover from being gone.. I'll see you soon though, I promise"
"Oh okay, bye Cyno.."
"Bye Nari"
Fuck.. why am I so selfish, he's a busy person, he can't stay with me all the time and I know that. So why am I so upset? ... Despite my sadness, I went home with Collei and we began to catch up on work. I walked through the forest and Collei checked out the town. My legs began to feel sore, reminding me of Cyno and I fucking.. mostly reminding me of Cyno, shit.. why am I so attached? He deserves personal space..
I quickly stopped my selfish thinking due to rustling in some bushes nearby. I put a hand on my bow just in case, and stood still allowing my ears to focus on hearing. The rustling continued.. the more I listened the more I could tell it wasn't just an animal, it was human. I smelled the air, trying to catch a whiff of the person and identify them. tall...male.. and smelt of sweat.
"Show yourself.."
I pulled out my bow and an arrow and pointed it at the bush, more rustling came from behind me and I turned around quickly, but not in enough time. The man landed a pretty strong hit on me and I blacked out.
When I woke up my vision was still much too blurry for me to see.
(???): "Sir he's waking up"
(??? But different 😼): "silence you fool I knew that already"
Finally my eyesight focused and I could properly see, I tried moving, but couldn't. My arms were tied behind my back and my ankles were chained to the floor. I looked around the room at the two men that stood watching me, they were muscular, not like your average thief or criminal, as for the room, it was badly lighted and cold.
"Hey kid, you know Cyno Mahamatra, right?"
"Perhaps"
"What relationship do you have with him"
"Why should I tell you?"
"You wanna know punk?"
The man speaking to me walked over and kicked me in the head, not hard enough to bleed but I definitely felt dizzy.
"You gonna answer? Or do you need another reason?"
"Are you done crazy ex of his or something?"
"I'M ASKING THE QUESTIONS HERE"
I'm not very fond of yelling, especially since my ears are sensitive to sound. I flinched and my ears hurt.
"Listen here kid, I'm gonna call him up. And you're gonna beg for help, got it?"
He dialed Cyno's number and the phone rang until he answered. My began wagging to the sound of his voice.
"Hello?"
"I believe you've lost your little fox, don't worry. We'll help him get home alive for 100,000 mora"
"I'm not falling for that, I don't own a fox. I literally live in the desert you dumbass."
"I know that, I forgot to mention it's a fennec, speak up, make yourself known little fox"
"Fuck you bastard, this isn't funny"
I stayed quiet, I didn't want Cyno to worry, if it seemed like a prank call to him so be it. I'd rather him stay safe then come save me and possibly get hurt.
"I said SPEAK UP you damn rodent"
"Nari.. if you're there say something, it's for the best"
The man walked over to me and kicked me harder this time. I yelped in pain and blood ran down the side of my face.
"NARI?"
"see there you have it, your little fox made himself known, he'll be here until you pay up.. meet at ******* anytime. We'll be waiting"
He hung up and walked over to me, grabbing me by the neck.
"You should obey next time like a good little pet"
He dropped me down and sat on a chair, the other man leaving the room and locking the door. For a while everything was quiet, that was until the door opened again, this time it wasn't the man. It was Cyno! He walked over to the man, yielding his weapon.
"Huh.. how the fuck'd you get in!?"
Cyno struck him with his weapon and the man fell unconscious.
"your lucky.. I should kill you for hurting Nari, but I'd rather force you to live with this trauma."
Cyno removed his mask and looked over at me, dropping his weapon and rushing over.
"Nari!?"
"Thanks Cyno, I'm sorry"
He untied the rope around my neck and took off the chains on my ankles, then reached his arm under my thighs and picked me up bridal style, giving me a light kiss before whispering something that sounded like.
"its alright, you're safe now"
I fell asleep with a dreadful headache as Cyno carried me back home, then woke up again to him dabbing a wet cloth on my wound while Collei stood watching worriedly. Cyno carefully bandaged my head and sat me down on my bed.
"I only left for about a day, and look at you, Nari"
He let out an exhausted laugh.
"I'm glad you're safe, my love"
He sat by me and fell asleep, I watched Collei quietly leave the room before I drifted to sleep as well.
