When we met

Tighnari POV:

I awoke to a knock on my door. As I slowly sat up, rubbing my tired eyes, I called to the person at my bedroom door.
"Come in..!"
The door knob turned and a small girl with green hair and pink eyes quietly walked in.
"Sorry for waking you, Master!"
Collei said as she performed an apologetic bow.
"It's fine Collei, what seems to be the matter?"
She gave me a big smile before explaining,
"An old friend of mine is coming today from Auru Village! I hope that's not a problem, is it?"
I shook my head and smiled back at her as I patted the spot on my bed next to me, she walked over to sit.
"When is she coming?"
I looked at her confused eyes for a moment before she responded..
"She? Oh! Master, you must've misunderstood! He's not female, and he should be here in about an hour."
"May I know a little about him?"
Collei looked as if she thought I'd never asked and continued to give me a brief summary of her friend.
"Well, for starters! He's apart of the akademia! You probably have heard of him, he's pretty well known.. but I'd rather that stay a surprise! Anyway.."
Collei went on and on until she stopped and looked down at my clothing, which was still my night clothes.
"..maybe you should change out of those..."
I blushed slightly and she left my room, allowing me to change my clothes.
I walked over to my closet and grabbed a cream colored shirt and some cargo jeans. I took off my pajama pants and put on my other pants. The doorbell rang and I hurried to take off my shirt and put on my other one before quickly rushing into the bathroom to brush my tangled hair and tail. Collei crept into my room and pointed up at my ears to remind me to cover them before exiting my bedroom.
I nodded and she left my room to go back to our guest. I pulled a beanie over my ears and tucked my tail into my pants. I left my room and walked down the hall to see Collei's friend sitting on the couch.. I felt my face turn red, he was drop-dead gorgeous.. Collei walked behind the couch and smiled.
"Cyno this is Tighnari! Master, this is Cyno.. You probably know him as General Mahamatra!"
I recognized the name but I never really knew what he looked like, I waved my hand, and he waved back.
I walked over and sat down on the couch, as I walked by I caught a whiff of his scent, this is normal because I have fennec fox genes so I usually smell people without even trying. He smelt nice, when I sat down Collei brought us some water.
"Oh yeah! Master Tighnari, would it be alright if Cyno stayed the night. The desert part of Sumeru is quite the journey away and I don't want him to travel at night."
"I suppose that'll be fine, I mean I don't see why it wouldn't.."
"Thanks!"
His voice.. it was so handsome! Almost like it was from a dream. My face turned a little red, and Cyno's eyes widened.
"Are you alright? Do you have a fever?"
He brought his hand closer to my face and pressed it to my forehead.
"I don't think you have a temperature, but maybe you should go lay down"
I shook my head,
"No, I'm fine thanks"
After a while of talking, the sun began to set.
"Cyno would you be okay sleeping on the couch tonight?"
Cyno nodded, but I didn't feel he should sleep on the couch, it wasn't very comfy at all.
"You could sleep on my bed with me if you want? I mean, I know the couch isn't really comfy.."
"Sure, as long as it's completely fine with you"
I nodded,
"There should be enough space anyway"
Collei walked down the hall and called out to us before entering her room,
"Goodnight you two!"
I went to my room and Cyno followed. I grabbed my pajamas from my closet and looked back at him,
"Could you uh, turn around while I change, please?"
He turned around and I got dressed then tapped his shoulder to let him know I was finished. I walked back over to my closet and pulled out some clothes that I knew were pretty baggy on me.
"Here, these should fit you. I think they'll be comfortable too"
"Thanks"
I turned around and waited for him to finish changing his clothes. He sat on my bed and laid down to rest, I climbed on and laid by him. He pointed at my beanie that I still had on.
"Do you usually keep that on while you sleep?"
"Uhh well no but umm, I guess it couldn't hurt to show you.."
I sat up and pulled off the beanie, my ears rose up and I turned to see his reaction.
To my surprise he didn't make fun of me and say stuff like 'furry'. He looked amazed.
"Can I touch uh.. touch them?"
I usually wouldn't like people to touch my ears but I guess I'll let it slide this time, I nodded my head, giving him permission to my ears.
I closed my eyes and waited to feel a hand touch them, he sure did take his time because I ended up expecting him to back down and not touch them, however that wasn't the case. I felt a warm hand rub my ear. It felt calming but he stopped.
"They're soft"
I nodded and laid back down by his side. The next thing I knew, he was already asleep. I kind of expected him to snore in his sleep but to my surprise he slept quietly. I fell asleep to the gentle sounds of his breath. This felt safe, I don't know why I trust him so much but he makes me feel a certain way. A way I've never felt before..
