Training with Todoroki during your last semester of middle school had to have been the toughest thing you had ever committed yourself to.
Almost every single day, you would push yourself past your limit in an attempt to strengthen your quirk.
It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. When you finally finished your last semester of middle school, you knew that you had accomplished something great. You were in the best shape of your life, and your quirk was stronger than it had ever been.
As you dedicated more time to training with Todoroki, you began to notice a subtle change in his demeanour.
His original stubbornness seemed to slowly dissipate as the two of you spent more one on one time together, and he seemed to grow more comfortable being around you. He was warming up to you.
Lately, you had noticed a major change in his behaviour. Normally, your interactions would just be limited to school hours and training sessions. However, in the past few weeks, there had been an undeniable shift.
Todoroki had seemed to be more at ease in your presence. The guarded walls that once separated him from others seemed to crumble in your presence, allowing you to have glimpses into his personal life.
Subjects that were once deemed too sensitive or off-limits now became fair game for discussion. It was clear that the time spent together during training sessions had created a stronger bond, one that went far beyond the boundaries of a simple acquaintanceship.
As you thought back on the past months, vivid memories of Todoroki flooded your mind, only reminding you of his unwavering presence in your life recently.
It was as if he had seamlessly threaded himself into your daily routine. He had become a constant part of your life, one whose company you had learned to cherish.
Without fail, every day after school he would walk home with you, oftentimes even taking the longer route just to be able to spend more time with you. Considering his previous demeanour and behaviour towards you, it was very unusual to see his entire attitude change.
What made it particularly intriguing was the fact that this change seemed to be exclusive to his interactions with you. In the presence of classmates and other people, he maintained the same outward demeanour as before.
In addition to spending time with you in person, he also seemed to be constantly texting and calling you. From the early 'good morning' texts to the late-night conversations, he managed to become a huge part of your life in a relatively small amount of time.
Though what really caught you off guard was when he recently agreed to call the two of you friends.
It wasn't something that you would complain about, you felt the same way in his presence; at ease and comfortable.
It was just different, that's all.
Right?Since the regular entrance exams and the recommendation tests were taken on separate days, you had already congratulated Todoroki on getting accepted into UA.
All that was left for you to do was to take the practical exam, it was everything you had been training for over the last semester. To no large surprise, Todoroki had offered to walk with you to UA, and of course, you accepted. You'd be lying if you said that you knew your way there in the first place.
As the two of you approached the infamous UA building, a surge of nerves washed over your body, causing unwelcome anxiety to rush through your veins. You turned to Todoroki with a hand on your heart, attempting to calm yourself.
"Do you think I'll be fine? I'm a little nervous." You may have lied a bit there.. 'a little' was an understatement.
Todoroki's footsteps halted abruptly along with yours, his gaze directed to you. His eyes, though devoid of emotion, held a sense of reassurance and belief in you. "You're capable of more than you think."
