Alfies POV.
I hold onto her hand as she cokes round from the anaesthesia. The other dentists had left the room whilst the drugs had worn off. I watched her face, slightly swollen, but still beautiful. She began to stir.
"Hey sweetie" i say, her grip tightened round my hand and her eyes opened, wide with panic.
"Its okay its okay. You're going to feel a bit weird for a while whilst the drugs wear off but you're completely fine." Her eyes flick round the room.
"Did they take my teeth?"
I chuckle, "yeah Soph they got them out". Her free hand reached up to her cheek, so I gently take it down again
"Hey hey gentle sweetie, you're pretty numb right now you don't want to hurt yourself" her eyes begin to well up and cry
"My face is so fat!" She sobs. I chuckled, knowing this was just the start of a very interesting day.Dr Stewart came back into the room. "Hey Sophie how we feeling?"
"You're the one who took my teeth?"
He looks over to me and chuckles. "Yeah thats right, I think you're all good to take her home now Clark, are you staying with her?"
"Yeah I think that'll be best, her mum is too far away to come down and I know all her post op care anyways so"
I begin to help her from her seat and she stumbles into me. "You're gonna have to lean on me okay Soph? You're balance is all over the place".I half walk half carry her back to the car and help her into her seat. I do up her belt, but as I kiss her cheek she begins to cry again. "I'm sorry baby did I hurt you?"
"I can't feel your kisses" she replies and i have to stifle back a laugh.
"I'm sorry" and I resort to kissing her hand instead. When she's all belted up, I drive her home.
