It was a cold, windy afternoon. Snow flurried over a large house in the mountains, the only sound that could be heard was the flutters of wind, as well as voices and footsteps coming from inside the house.

A man with dark hair and a red streak was pacing back and forth as a brunette haired girl, a teenager at the least, stepped out of a room with a few bags and heavy clothes on. The man stared over at her with a slight bit of concern on his face.

"..Are you really sure you want to do this? There's always other ways we could get you into another school, I have enough money to get you into one more nearby-'' He spoke rasply in a worried tone.

The teen spoke back calmly, "I get that you're worried but I assure you that there's nothing to truly worry about.. I'll be fine on my own! I'm old enough now, and besides I kind of want some friends more my age.."

The dark haired man nodded,
"Fine... just be very careful, got it?"

She'd give him a slight smile,
"Got it!" She ran up to the front door, "Don't wanna disappoint my big brother."

The man's eyes had a few small tears in them, he smiled at her, giving a few small waves to her. She did the same before turning to face the door, she twisted the handle shortly opening it after. She stepped out, "See you soon, John." The brunette smiled one last time before closing the door.

As soon as she did, the snow unfortunately picked up. That wasn't what the weather had intended nor did they say there would be a snow storm, but she shrugged it off, heading off on her journey to a newer city, first stop... a taxi!

When the teen got down the mountain and halfway into a forest nearby the snow picked up very harshly, almost blurring her vision. And...

. . .

That's how I got here, somehow made it through that weather fortunately enough for me. I haven't even introduced myself yet though, have I? Where are my manners, I am-

"Snoop!"
A girl's voice chirped in.

"Huh- what-"
The brunette, Snoop, stared over at her wolf-eared friend, she must have zoned out for a couple seconds. She kept walking beside her blonde friend on a sidewalk, with melted snow nearby on the streets.

"You seemed to be very interested in the pavement's color.." Her friend remarked, snickering to herself while she teased Snoop at how she zoned out yet again.

"Of courssee I do, it matches you!." She replied, deciding to tease her back.

"..HEY- I'm not plain!"

"Suree, catch me if you can then, Gen!" The brunette ran past her blonde friend, giggling.

Gen then chased after her best friend, laughing a bit under her breath.

. . .

Rain began to fall on both of the girls a few hours later, they were laughing in the rain. "Soo, meet you at school tomorrow, girlie?" Snoop spoke through her chuckles.

"Of course, we're near my house anyhow. See you then." Gen smiled after finally calming down, waving to her best friend before walking towards the way her house was near.

The brunette waved back to her, walking the opposite direction with a grin on her face.
