Did he love me?
The wonder tormented my mind.
The love I felt burnt my heart.
The desire I had filled my soul.
He said he loved me.
The surprise took my mind.
The joy warmed my heart.
The happiness cleansed my soul.
He did not love me.
The truth darkened my mind.
The knowledge shattered my heart.
The emptiness took over my soul.
Left was only darkness.
