I sat in my cage as I looked at the people walking pass none stopping since none wanted a old lab

I layed my head on my paws as I closed my eyes and was asleep for a while but then opened my eyes as I heard a voice talking above my cage

"-pleaseee aunt may look at how cute she is" a little boy was saying before looking at me and pausing "oh sorry precious didnt mean to wake you" the boy said as he put his hand on my cage allowing me to sit up and sniff him

I paused after sniffing him as I looked him over before nudging his hand and licking him making him giggle "fine let me go grab someone" the older woman who im guessing is aunt may sighed walking off

"yes" the boy said happily looking at me "im gonna adopt you and give you the best life if you want to be adopted at least" he said and I licked his hand hoping he realized I did

a few minutes went by with him petting me until the aunt and a worker appeared "this is the dog" the aunt said to the worker "ok let me grab her papers for you to sign" the worker said before walking away

"do you wanna pet her aunt may?" the little boy asked "sure" the aunt laughed as she layed her hand on the cage allowing me to sniff it before I licked her hand and she started to pet me

"shes so soft but your the one mainly looking after her okay peter" the aunt said and I looked at the boy 'so his name is peter' I thought as the lady came back and handed may the paper telling her where to sign before crouching down to the door of the cage

"hi tessa (yes I did that)" the worker said slowly opening the door and I walked over to it and stick my head out so she could put the leash on me "thank you tessa" she said petting my head as she got up "if you will follow me I can show you what she needs" the worker said handing my leash to peter

-At the parker home-

"Heres your new home tessa" peter said as we arrived at the farm house (I know they dont live there but for the plot they are farmers) he took off my leash but I didnt go anywhere

"how about you set up her bed, food and water then show her around so she knows where shes allowed to go" may said 'smart' I thought as peter nodded and as he helped bring things into the house and I followed

"this is my room" peter said as we entered a space and starwars themed room and I jumped up onto the bed and layed down looking around the room "my bed now" I barked making him laugh as he pet my head before I rolled over for belly rubs

"someone want belly rubs" peter laughed as he did so for a bit "oh wait bed" peter randomly said before grabbing the bed he had dropped in the doorway and put it in its spot before looking at me "lets get you some food" he said "yes please" I barked jumping off the bed and followed him into what I believe is his kitchen as he opened the dog food bag

he grabbed a bowl they had just got and cleaned it before drying it and placing it on the ground before filling it and I started eating it as I watched him clean another bowl and dry it before putting clean water in it and putting it next to me "thanks" I barked as I paused from eatting as he patted my head before grabbing some food for himself

-two years later-

I layed down on peters bed waiting for him to come home as I knew today was my last I knew it was coming I just wish It didnt

I slowly started to drift to sleep knowing I wouldnt wake up and said I couldnt say my last goodbye 'I find you and protect you peter no matter how long it takes' I thought as I finally drifted awake

Falling asleep then waking up as a newborn puppy a time later is always weird but this life I have someone to find no matter how many times it takes

-5 lives later-

ok its been a few lives now and I still havent found him but this time i'm in the same place I was when I found him but this time as a baby Staffordshire Bull Terrier (yes I did that)

I was hoping to find him here again "hey maddy what new puppys do you have this year" a voice said 'I know that voice peter!'
"PETER" I barked again and again as I saw him trying to escape the cage "maddy come here now!" the worker who was near me said but I ignored him as I stared at peter and contiuned yelling his name

"whats the matt- woah shes not usually so vocal" maddy said "awe shes so cute whats her name?" peter asked as he looked at me and put his hand on the cage making me pause and lick his hand not caring to sniff him "huh she always sniffs people" ethan said "guess she likes me" peter chuckled before getting up "anyways I have to go ill talk to you guys later" he said walking away

'No I cant lose you I just found you' I thought as I clawed at the lock and got it open and immediately ran after him "SHADOW STOP COME BACK" both ethan and maddy yelled as they ran after me but I only had eyes for peter "PETER DONT LEAVE" I barked and I finally caught up to him and ran infront of him "huh how did you get out" he asked bending down to pet me

"please its me you know me" I said trying to think of how to get him to know its me before pausing 'the tricks he taught me' I thought before doing one trick that took a while to learn do to my old age "how-" he paused as maddy and ethan arrived

"oh good you got her" they sighed happy "what happened?" he asked "she escaped her cage" ethan said reaching to grab me but I dodged him and looked at peter "actually hang on I wanna test something" he said as he stood up and started backing away and I knew immediately what he was doing

"huh" he said as I stayed before bending down "tessa?" he asked and I immediately ran to him and tackled him to the ground "wait did you just say tessa?" maddy said having been the one to sell me to him

"yes I did" he laughed as I attacked his face with licks "can you grab the adoption papers" he asked "sure" maddy said with a laugh as she realized what happen having seen it happen a few times before

"well I see you later peter" ethan laughed walking away shaking his head with a smile "cya" peter called after him as I stopped attacking his face and layed down "I missed you" I barked "missed you tessa" he laughed having no clue what I just said

"here you go peter" maddy said as she walked over and I looked at her before jumping off him and walked over to her as she now had a leash "yup thats tessa alright" she laughed putting the leash on "I have no clue how this happened but im happy it did" he said looking at me as he signed the papers

"yup but im glad you found each other" she smiled as he handed back the signed papers "Ill let you go shopping for her but send me updates on her ok" she said and he nodded before we went to grab everything

-At the farm-

"AUNT MAY COME HERE" peter yelled as he got out of the car and let me out before unhooking my leash and I waited for the door to open before running at it as aunt may came out "whats- ah hello" aunt may laughed as she saw me

"its tessa I dont know how but I know its her" peter said grabbing the bags and stuff out of the car "are you sure?" aunt may asked "Trick 2" peter said simply and I did the trick he said "see" he said to a shocked may
