in a world where some people have wings,
though they are looked down upon and called freaks of nature.
Peter is born with large mixed brown wings that no one could place where they came from.
after the spiderbite the wings doubled in size going from a 18 ft wingspan to a 36 ft wingspan.
only may knows he has them and sadly she also thinks hes a freak for having them and hates seeing them but also loves him.

I stood in my room preening my wings but was struggling due to how big they were. I was busy trying to fix my wings to notice may had come home and then I heard a voice coming from outside my open door

"what the fuck." I heard and froze my blood running cold as I slowly turned around and saw may standing there "hey aunt may I didnt hear you come in" I said as I hid my wings away but knew it was to late

"get out" she said her face turning to a glare "what?" I asked "you heard me get out" she said "but-" I started "I dont give a shit I could handle before even though they were huge but I could deal with them but now they are freakishly huge" she said

"it shows how much of a freak you are and I dont want people seeing you with me no matter how im done with it" she said backing away "You better be gone once I come back in a few hours take all your shit anything you leave im selling" she said walking away and that cause my heart to break

tears swelled in my eyes as I heard the front door shut before realizing what happened "she kicked me out" I whispered not feeling like this was real

I slowly packed everything I had thankful I had most of my stuff at the tower since I stayed there more often then not since may was always working

I layed my key on the table before leaving out the window since I didnt want to leave the door unlocked

I walked towards the tower feeling numb as I carried a few bags

I walked into the lobby of the tower and nodded at the security guards and receptionist as I made my way to the elevator "penthouse fri" I said "got it are you alright peter?" she asked

"I dont know" I said zoning out before zoning back in as the elevator stopped and I walked out and saw no one in the living room and walked to my room and sat down on my bed as the tears came even worse then before

"hey pete you alright friday let me know that you were not doing the best" a voice came from the door after a knock "Im fine" I called out "can I come in?" he asked "if you want" I replied

I looked up as the door opened and tony walked in and paused as he saw my face before closing the door and walking to me "you are definitely not fine why are you crying?" he asked gently sitting down next to me "may kicked me out" I whispered puting my head on my knees

"why?" he asked "Cause im a freak" I whispered more tears appearing "you are definitely not a freak why would you think that" he asked rubbing my back as he hugged me "if I showed you you would also kick me out and call me a freak" I whispered in his shoulder

"I would never kick you out peter nor call you a freak" he said and I shook my head "you would though" I said "peter nothing would make me call you a freak or kick you out" he said lifting my head so he could look into my eyes and I could see he was telling the truth

"I have wings" I said quietly looking down "ok your not a freak for it" he said and I dared to look into his eyes again and saw he was truthful "really?" I asked "really besides I would be pretty hypocritical to call you a freak seeing as I also have wings" he said "really?" I asked shocked

"yup though only rhodes and pepper know" he said before standing up and backing away and before I knew it I saw a pair of dark brown wings that probably were each around 11 ft each "woah" I said "see I told you" he said chuckling but I could see he was hiding his insecurities about having them out

"now do you want to show me yours or are you not comfortable showing them?" He asked gently as he folded them down but didnt hide them "promise you wont call me a freak?" I asked standing up taking a shaky breath

"I promise" he said slightly confused and I nodded before closing my eyes and slowly let my wings out and heard his gasp but kept my eyes shut "woah petey they are amazing Ive never seen any so big" he said and I opened my eyes and looked at his face but didnt see any negative emotions

"im glad you shared this with me" he said as I folded my wings away as he walked to me and hugged me "you too" I said basking in the comfort of his hug "now do you want to get some food?" he asked "mhm" I said as I hid my wings but he left his out

we walked to the kitchen with tony not mentioning me hiding my wings "Hey pepper" tony greeted as we walked into the kitchen "hello" I smiled as she looked up "hello guys" she smiled before pausing looking at tonys wings then at my face "do I want to ask?" she asked

"I felt like showing him since he will be moving in permanently" tony shrugged acting like nothing happened "permanently what about may?" she asked and I looked away "she kicked me out" I said "aw peter im sorry I brought it up" she said standing up and coming to hug me

"its okay you didnt know" I replied "anyways lets change the topic to what to make for food" tony said and pepper looked moved back away and looked at him

I sent him a grateful look as we talked about what to eat
