Warmly tucked in my blankets I stared at the roof, shifting to look at my clock, I blinked the fog out of my eyes and focused, 8:20. I had slept in again! I threw off my blankets, and swung my feet over the side of my bed, the warm carpet sent shivers down my spine. Quickly I put on dark blue skinny jeans and a black
tank top, grabbing my favourite grey sweater I raced down the stairs, my feet slapping against the hard tile kitchen floor. I flung the fridge open and grabbed the lunch I had packed the night before, set it on the table. I looked around, I had forgotten my backpack in my room. As I walked up the stairs I slipped my grey sweater over my head, almost tripping I swung my door open, my backpack sat in the corner of my room, its contents sprawled across the floor. I shook my head, stomping towards the bag, I picked it up and slung it over my shoulder, ditching the things that were once inside it. Cuffing the door handle I pulled it shut behind me. I walked down the stairs, glancing in the mirror, my dark red hair hung in perfect ringlets, down my back just touching the rim of my pants, my electric blue eyes were almost inhuman, I blinked and kept walking. Grabbing my lunch kit off the table I looked out the window, the bus sat doors closing. I silently cursed, and shoved the kit into my bag, slipping my shoes on I threw open the door, I ran as it squeaked shut behind me, the cold November air whipping across my face, stung my eyes. I shivered, Crossing the street I raised my arms and spread my fingers.
"Wait!" I yelled.
I waved my hands in front of the bus.
"Wait."
the bus driver rolled his eyes. I circled the front of the vehicle, the doors opened, I nodded at the driver.
"thanks," I mumbled.
Brows furrowing he looked away. I walked to the back of the bus, where less people sat. I pulled my hood up, and stared longingly at my house, its blue walls fading as we got further away. My hot breath clouded the window, placing a hand on the cold glass I frowned. Another treacherous day of school.
