Maddening love

"Whatcha doing?" Shoto sat next to him, biting his hamburger while Izuku kept his eyes on his phone.

"Texting Kacchan. He has a big presentation today and he's nervous."

"Bakugou nervous? Wow."

"He's very anxious actually, his hands show it." His eyes widened at the realization. "Don't tell him I said that."

"Mhm. Well while I'm sure you want to keep your boyfriend's sanity in line, there's a patient waiting for a consult."

"Who?"

"Ms. Hamada."

"Ah, right." He closed his phone, finishing the rest of his meal. "She's checked in?"

"Mhm. Here's her chart."

"Thanks. Is that carrot cake?" Shoto nodded, taking a piece with his spoon and feeding it to his friend. "Thank you! I'll see you later!"

"Sure."

Ms Hamada was one of his first patients to fully trust his ways of treating, and often came for checkups every year. She was old, so her body often hurt. Izuku was convinced that no medication was needed, just a consult for her brain to know she was okay. It didn't matter, he liked her.

"Ms Hamada, what a pleasure."

"Oh hello my good boy. How have you been?"

They started their usual chatting, and then afterwards was the consult. The same usual pain, and an alternative prescription was given, one not to hard on her.

"My boy..."

"Yes?"

"I do, um, tend to get these... These horrible headaches, and I'm very tired. I think it's the age, but...  Oh my boy, can't you help me?"

"How often are these pains?"

"Everyday."

"Oh, okay. Well then I'll order a CT scan and an MRI to be sure, but I don't want you to worry okay? Not until we find something to worry about."

"Yes, thank you."

"No problem."

While waiting for the results of the scan, he made other consults, meeting all types of people and family. He helped a boy with a belly infection, and a woman with an infected cut. The rest was stitching and stitching, while talking with some nurses on his small breaks. He was the favourite among them.

He received a page for the scans, excusing himself from the conversation while heading to the lab.

"Incoming! Clear the path!" Many doctors rushed outside, while he stood behind. "Massive casualties! We have burn injuries and crushing ones, everyone clear the path!"

"Doctor, your scans." A nurse handed them to him, while he watched the gurneys come in. He was used to hearing screams and cries of pain the trauma centre, but it was always nerve wracking.
