Lost Friendship | Seth Borden friends to lovers

Chapter 3

I woke up the next morning feeling stupidly nervous so I decided to try and distract myself by calling my best friend from London. "Hey!" She answered the phone happily. "Hey. Sorry is it late there?" I ask, I had no clue what the time was in London so I felt kind of bad if I had woken her up. "Nah it's only 5." She says. "Oh my gosh I've missed you so much. We have so much to catch up on." I really did miss her too but I was enjoying my time in LA. "Yess! I'm super sorry to do this to you but I've not got time right now but you can call me anytime." I say back as I realise the time. "Okay I love you Elle." "I love you too Mads" I reply back before blowing her a kiss through the phone and ending the call.

I quickly got out of bed and had a quick shower before drying off my hair and styling it. I had been thinking about dying the underneath of my hair a colour as I had lived my whole life with black hair and was ready for a change so I went and added that to a little list of things to do. Once I had done that I did my skincare and my makeup and picked out an outfit. I decided on wearing a adorable mini skirt and a cute shirt that shows off my boobs. Once I had gotten dressed I headed to the kitchen.

I quickly made my way to the kitchen and made myself a bowl of cereal and scrolled through my phone as I ate it. As I was eating I noticed how silent the house was and started wondering if the others were still asleep but decided not to think about it and finished off my cereal and put the bowl in the dishwasher. Once I left the kitchen I decided to head upstairs and check to see if I could hear the others so I headed up and could hear some chatting coming from Josh's room so I figured he was awake and headed back to my bedroom.

I decided since it didn't seem like Seth was awake yet and I didn't even know what time he wanted to go at anyways I decided to just chill in my bedroom for a while so I turned on my tv and watched a few episodes of my favourite show until I heard a knock on my door. "Yeah?" I yell in the direction of my door. I watched the door open slightly before hearing Seth's voice. "Can i come in? "He asks quietly. "Yeah sure" i quickly pause the tv and sit upright on my bed as he walks over and sits on my bed. "You still want to hang out today?" He asks me looking hopeful. "Yep I'm super excited." I say smiling at him as he smiles back. "Awesome, do you want to go now?" He says looking out the window at the street. "Yeah sure let's go." I say getting up and grabbing my docs and putting them on as he gets up and grabs his phone and wallet before leading me outside to his car. I was feeling quite nervous which was stupid because he was my best friend and were just hanging out this isn't a date yet I still felt like a thousand butterflies were storming my stomach.

Once we got to his car he opened the door for me and i got into the passenger seat as he walked around to the drivers seat and got in. "So where are we even going?" I ask curiously. "You'll see." He says smirking. I look at his confused as he turns the car on and puts on his playlist which contained mostly Chase Atlantic songs. We were only driving for a few minutes before he put his hand on my knee and I felt like I was going to explode. I couldn't even look at him so I just looked down as I felt his eyes on me. Luckily the place we were going wasn't far from home so we arrived there pretty quickly and he opened the passenger door for me and he lead me towards a movie theatre. I look at him confused as to why he would bring me here but he just looked at me assuringly and said "Trust me on this one." He grabbed my hand and lead me inside but instead of going to the counters to get a ticket or anything he lead me further back until we arrived a huge arcade in the back. "Oh my gosh." I was so excited, when we were younger we would always go to the arcade and I hadn't been to one since I left America so I was so happy to see one again. "I know it's not the same one we used to go to obviously but it's got a lot of the same things." He said smiling at my reaction. "This is amazing!!" I replied. I felt like I was going to explode. I loved arcades so much and it has always been me and Seth's thing. He happily lead me towards some of my favourite games and we ended up staying there for a few hours playing games.

SETHS POV.
I had nervously asked Eleanor to hang out yesterday and I was so glad I did. I woke up early that morning and ended up going to Josh to get advice as I was feeling so nervous. I wanted to take her somewhere special so I had done some research last night and found an awesome arcade just like the one we used to go to in high school. I remembered that day I met her and I had gone to the arcade after school and I saw her there hanging out. I had a crush on her from the second I met her but we became each others only close friends too quickly and i didn't want to lose my best friend so I never made a move but now we're 23 and I still liked her and I wanted to make a move now, but I am so scared that we've been friends too long that she sees me just as a best friend and never anything more. When I was driving her to the arcade I decided to do something subtle and little to see her reaction so as I turned a corner I put my hand on her knee and I looked at her as she seemed to be nervous but i wasn't sure so I left it there the rest of the drive. When we arrived at the arcade I brought her inside and lead her to the arcade part and I felt so happy as I watched how excited she got seeing the arcade.

BACK TO ELEANORS POV

Once we had become tired and bored of the arcade we started to head back to the car, once we got in I thanked him for the day because I had so much fun. "No worries." He said as i backed the car out and started driving in a direction I was like 50% sure wasn't the right way but I figured he's lived here a lot longer than me so it probably was the right way so I just listened to the music and looked out the window. Suddenly he stopped the car and i looked at him confused. "Cmon let's go" he says as he gets out the car, i slowly get out a follow him as he brings me to a cute little ice cream parlour. I smile at him as we walk up to the front coolers and we both pick a flavour and he orders the ice creams. Quickly the girl gives us the ice creams and we go and sit down in a booth and we eat our ice creams. "Thank you so much Seth." I say as I smile at him and he looks at me. "Your welcome.  Anytime you want to go anywhere you can always ask me." I grin at him as I continue to eat my ice cream. Once we are both finished our ice creams we head back to the car and he drives us home.

Once we get home i thank him again for a lovely day and i head back to my bedroom and I get undressed out of my outfit and then I climb into my bed to watch some tv.

SETHS POV. 

When we got home I watched her go to her room before I headed upstairs only to get pestered by Josh teasing me asking me how it went and calling it a date. I ended up telling him all about it and he keeps making ooooo sounds and awwws before giving me advice on how to show her that I like her without freaking her out until I felt I couldn't take in anymore information so I thanked him for his advice and headed to the kitchen to heat up some food. While I was waiting for my food to heat up and decided to go talk to Eleanor in her bedroom so I went up to her room and walked in only to find her asleep on her bed with the tv playing so I crept in and turned off her tv and tucked her under the covers so she wouldn't get cold and then I grabbed her phone and put it onto the charger for her so when she woke up it wasn't dead and then I left her room and quietly closed the door and headed back to the kitchen and ended up going on instagram while I waited.  While going on instagram a post from her came up in my feed and it was a photo I took of her when we were younger and then a picture of her now and it was talking about how for the first time in years she was back in America and i remembered how much I missed her when she first left but then I got interrupted by the microwave beeping.

I don't feel like this chapter is as good so I apologise but I'm super tired cause I only have the motivation to write at 3am for some reason so yeah but I hope you enjoyed and feedback is appreciated very much thank you!!!
