"You didn't have to do that." I say.

We we're flying high in the night sky.

"We are mates. Mates have to stick together." Lo'ak said.

"Wait, are we married?" I ask.

"That is mating in front of Eywa."

"Should I call you Sweetie pie?"

"No, definitely not."

"Dear?"

"No."

"Hah."

"I'm gonna start calling you Little man."

I fall silent. I continue to fly in silence.

"Did I say something wrong?" Lo'ak said.

"No, it's just... that was the nickname my Mama called me." I sigh.

"Oh, sorry." Lo'ak said.

I let out a breath. I still miss her. I sometimes wondered if she was still alive. It was highly doubtful. I realize that we we're far out. We were getting closer to the Sky People's base. I can feel the cold air. I've spent so long trying to run away from them, and now I come back.

"We should probably land and rest up." Lo'ak's voice broke my thoughts.

"Huh? Oh yeah right." I say.

We land. I get of Patook. I untie the bond. Lo'ak lies down on the ground. He plucks off two fruit from a bush. He throws one to me. I catch it. I sit next to him.

"It must be nice having a family." I say.

"It is even if you are a big disappointment." Lo'ak sighed.

"I personally think it's sweat, as long as he doesn't hit you, you should be fine." I say.

Lo'ak shoves me gently. We laugh the night.
