I place Soph a note on the floor near her locker and pull my root necklace out of my shirt. The sunlight shines through the ice blue and brown leaping beads making a path appear. I step into it and it takes a few seconds but soon I see them. My family

"Finally," Says a familiar voice

"Dal" I hug her. As I hug her I lightly whisper in her ear "Have you seen Ben? There's a rumour going around that he's in the human cities on a mission. I've just missed him you know"

"Yeah, I do, but I haven't seen him recently" When we separate there is an unmistakable sound of a heel hitting the ground

"Adira!" I ran over to hug my niece

"Uncle Keefe" She returns the embrace for a few minutes but before I can step away. She raises her knee and hits me in the stomach so hard I fall to the ground

"I deserved that"

"Well then let's go shopping," Biana offers me her hand "Keefe off the ground,"

"Sorry," I take her hand and she helps me up. "I'm fine. Really. So, what do you think? Shall we go?"

"Lead the way," Biana says with a smile.

As we walk through the city,

We stop at a small café, and I order both our favourite drinks: a caramel latte for her and an iced mocha for me. (Y/N Yes human drinks there in the forbidden cities) As we wait for them to arrive, I study Biana out of the corner of my eye. Her wavy brown hair falls softly around her face, framing her beautiful features. She's wearing a simple black tank top that shows off her scars, reminding me of the strength she possesses.

"Hey, what are you thinking about?" She asks, breaking my train of thought.

"Oh, just thinking about how beautiful you are," I reply, looking straight into her eyes.

She lightly hit me. Then looked at me "Save that for Sophie,"

I blushed. Sophie and I are still new at the dating thing. We finished our drinks and continued walking, and I noticed a new store opening up. It's called "The Leap of Faith." I nudge Biana and point it out. "Hey, look. A new store."

"Really?" She raises an eyebrow. "Let's go check it out."

Inside the store, there are all sorts of unique items: crystals, herbs, and even some antuiqes. The owner, a tall, lanky man with silver hair and piercing blue eyes, greets us warmly.

"Welcome, welcome," he says with a smile. "I'm Leif, the owner of The Leap of Faith. What can I help you find today?"

"We were just browsing," I reply, looking around. "This place is amazing."

"Thank you," he says modestly. "I and my team handpick everything here. We travel the world to find the most unique and powerful items."

"Blue eyes," I whisper to Bi when Leif leaves.

"He's not an elf,"

"I know that but I've never seen a human with blue eyes that blue,"

"That's called Anomaly,"

"Oh," I blush "I didn't know that,"

"You're cute when you're blushing,"

"Shut up,"

"Anyway," She walks to Leif "Do you have any accessories or dresses?"

"Sure, we have a few dresses over here," Leif leads us to a section of the store filled with beautiful dresses. "And here are some accessories." He points to a display of bracelets, necklaces, and earrings.

Biana browses through the dresses, trying on a few that catch her eye. One she walks out with and kicks her leg past her head.

"What do you think?" She asks, twirling around.

The dress is a stunning shade of purple, with intricate silver detailing. It hugs her body in all the right places, accentuating her curves.

"Wow," I breathe, unable to take my eyes off her. "You look amazing."

"Thanks," She blushes "I think I'll take this one," She walks up to Leif "Can I buy this one?"

"Of course, Miss Biana," Leif nods, looking at her admiringly. "It suits you well."

While Biana pays for the dress, I browse through the accessories, finding a simple silver bracelet that catches my eye. It has a small, intricate design that reminds me of Biana.

"Here," I hand it to her. "This one caught my eye."

She looks at it, her brows furrowing. "I don't know, Keefe. It's kind of," she lowered her voice to a whisper "Humany,"

"Come on, you'll look great with it," I insist, putting it on her wrist.

She rolls her eyes but smiles. "Fine, thank you."

We leave the store, both of us grinning from ear to ear. The rest of the day passes in a blur of laughter and excitement. We go to the Forkle Gearons's house. Maple appeared "HIKEFFEANDBIANAIJUSTFINISHEDLIKESEVENTEENARTPROJECTSANDANDTHENIDIDACINDERELLASNAPPEDPOVANDCOVERWHATAREYOUDOINGHEREHEYBIANAWHAT'SIN YOUBAG,"

"Have you had a caffeine break today?" We asked

"NOIHAVEN'THADANYTIME,"

"You need caffeine now,"

"OKAYIFYOUSAYSO,"

We went to the kitchen and Maple chugged a whole two mugs of coffee.

"Good?"Bi asked

"Good," Maple smiled weakly. 'Good' I think 'The caffeine is working'

"Well, I should get going," Bi says "I'm going to the Dizzenes," "Wait, what?" I gasp. "But you can't! Your dad will kill you!"

She rolls her eyes. "Chill, Keefe. I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself. Besides, I need to see Dex. It's been too long." 'probably 1 month that's not that long like chill girl' A tiny voice in my head says. I ignore it

"But he's a Dizzee!" I protest. "It's not like you can just-"

"Yes, I know," she interrupts.

I hug her tightly. "Be careful, okay? And don't stay too long."

"I won't," she promises, returning the hug. "I'll see you soon."

As she walks away, my heart feels heavy. I know I shouldn't, but I can't help but worry about her. She's so reckless sometimes, and I wish I could protect her from everything. I close my eyes, take a deep breath, and force myself to let go. She's stronger than I give her credit for.
