10AM-Lake Michigan
Arlo is sitting on a park bench besides a walkway to the shoreline while Matteo comes up to her. Arlo is wearing a red halter top with baggy sweatpants and her signature bucket hat, while Matteo is wearing a white singlet and tight, lightly coloured, denim jeans.
MATTEO
Hey! How's it going, man?
ARLO
Lessss go! You ready?
MATTEO
Yup! What are we doing?
ARLO
I know a good spot, come with me.
Matteo follows Arlo down the shoreline to a rocky section.
MATTEO
What's over here?
ARLO
You'll see ;)
She leads him into a small rocky cave, water fluctuates around the edges of the cave's floor.
MATTEO
Woah, Man. This place is cool.
ARLO
I was thinking, what if you wanted to decorate it with me?
MATTEO
Of course! I love yo- that idea..
ARLO
Let's get some decor
They walk around the shoreline, hoping to find some sort of decorations for their small cave. Once they find something, they throw it in the cave to take care of later.
20 Minutes Later
The cave now has a small pile in its centre: a net, a few shells, an old damaged cassette tape.
MATTEO
Oh! I'll be back with some tools, mate. Part of being a man is knowing how to be a handyman.
ARLO
Mhm. Sure, sure
MATTEO
I won't be long! I'll also bring a few extra decorations.
Matteo returned 10 minutes later, he has a small toolbox and a plastic-carry bag containing a few candles shaped like skulls and a small rug with Xiang calligraphy.
ARLO
Oh my gosh, where did you get these?!
MATTEO
To be honest, I bought them because i thought you were into this stuff.
ARLO
They're amazing! Thanks so much!
MATTEO
Let's put everything up now.
They both work together to decorate the cave, candles in every corner, the net hanging over the entrance, the cassette tape on top of the carpet.
ARLO
Matteo? Do you speak that language on the rug?
MATTEO
No, I just thought you did since you're from China.
ARLO
Nooo, I only speak Mandarin, Yue and Hakka.
MATTEO
Aw man, sorry I just thought you'd like it.
ARLO
It's okay, nobody has ever treated me as well as you are.
They both sit down together on the rug, very close as if they're practically leaning on each other.
