Chapter 2

Kalen's P.O.V

I was sat in my History lesson when all of a sudden the Principal came barging into the classroom and shouted my name.

''Kalen Johnson will you come with me please?''

I stood up a bit nervous, wondering what I did wrong because it’s not everyday you're called out of class by the Principal.

''I need you to come with me your sister has been in an accident, she has been sent to hospital.'' He sadly tells me. I really started to worry then because I wanted to see my sister...I need to see my sister. That’s when it hit me...no-one walked her to lesson ''Shit'' I said a bit too loudly for the Principals liking.

''Language Mr Johnson'' the Principal said sternly

''Sorry'' I muttered

The Principal walked me to the main entrance where my dad was sat waiting for me to come out, his face was full of concern, he stood up quickly and we both ran out of the building to the car, I needed to see my sister because it was partially my fault why she was in the hospital and I couldn't help but feel guilty.

The car ride was very awkward we didn't say a word; there was nothing to be said. We arrived at the hospital and ran inside, my dad asked for her room and we were told to go to room 324, we ran as fast as we could to the room and I looked through the window and saw her lifeless body laid in bed. My heart broke at the sight. I walked in with tears in my eyes.

''What happened?'' dad whispered.

‘‘She’s resting at the minute, she did wake up and she told us what had happened and apparently she was beat up in the toilets by some girls at school, she didn't tell us who but I think we could have a pretty good guess'' my mum said sadly

''I'm going to kill them, they had no right to harm her, and she hasn’t done anything wrong to them.'' I shouted.

"I don’t want you getting involved Kalen, you will make it worse, one day she will stand up to them." My mum replied

"I know, I just wish she would do it sooner" I whispered

Silence took over us as we looked at her, I decided to text Liam and Michael letting them know what has gone on because Kyra is like their little sister too

'Kyra's been beat up pretty bad, don’t come round tonight we are at the hospital- Kalen'

''Who found her?'' my dad said breaking the silence

''A lass called Kimberly'' my mum replied and once again silence took over us.

Kyra's P.O.V

I slowly woke up and saw white walls surrounding me and automatically knew I was at hospital...that is when the flashbacks of today ran through my mind, I was brought out of them thoughts by mums voice.

''Hunny thank god you have finally woken up, I was starting to worry I'll just go get the nurse.'' she said. Around 2 minutes she walked in with a nurse behind her.

''How are you feeling Kyra'' The nurse politely asked.

''I've been better'' I replied.

''Well I will leave you to rest and come and check on you in about an hour'' She said as she left the room.

''How are you actually feeling Hunny" my mum asked worried

"I feel awful mum, I hurt everywhere and I just wish this would stop I ha-" I was cut off by my brothers voice.
