Chapter 3

3 weeks later.

Kyra’s P.O.V

It was finally the holidays. Yay, I'm so glad I don't have school for a few weeks.

These past 3 weeks have been better but I'm dreading going back after the holidays because Lauren and her gang are back at school again...great.

I've also made a new friend he’s called Adam, we have gotten really close these past couple of weeks, he was new to our school and I had to show him around school and we ended up hanging out a bit more seen as he is in most of my lessons. I really like him. He was coming round tonight because we need to do a project together.

It was about 11 when I got up this morning and its now 1 in the afternoon. Adam should be here at around 5 ish. I walked into the kitchen to see Liam and Kalen walk through the door laughing about something; they both completely blanked me and walked up the stairs.

''Oh thanks Kalen just walk straight passed me'' I shouted up the stairs. 2 minutes later Kalen walked down the stairs and hugged me.

''Sorry sis, love you'' he said and ran back up the stairs. That’s my brother.

I went to the fridge and saw that there was nothing in there, guessing my mum and dad haven't give us the money to go shopping yet. My parents hardly ever come home anymore, basically me and Kalen have to do everything ourselves, two weeks ago they both got a business trip and not just any business trip one where they go all over the world so they aren’t going to be home for awhile and they said they was going to send us money to help with food and stuff seen as me and Kalen don’t work.

''Kalen!!'' I shouted, a few seconds later he was at the bottom of the stairs.

''Yes?'' he asks

''We need food'' I whined

''Okay I'll go to the store with Liam'' he replied

''Liam get down here we are going to the store!'' he shouted up the stairs and a few seconds later Liam was at his side and they were walking out the door. While they were gone I decided to go get a shower, within 20 minutes I was out and dressed into some skinny jeans, vest top and some flats.

I walked down the stairs, Kalen wasn’t back yet, and I wondered how long he was going to be...I need food. I sat on the sofa and watched TV while waiting for them to get back, it was almost 2 30 now.

''Kyra'' Kalen said while shaking me

''What?'' I replied groggily

''Adam is here'' He said, with that I shot up and spotted Adam on the other couch staring at me. Crap. Kalen left the room and left us alone.

''Did I take too long that you fell asleep?''Adam asked sarcastically

''No I was waiting for my brother to get back with food and fell asleep, do you want to go upstairs and do the project?'' I asked nervously.

''Yeah'' He replied. We got up of the sofa and headed towards the stairs and I took that as an opportunity to check Adam out, he was wearing some baggy jeans, high-tops and a jacket...he looked hot!

''Like what you see?''Adam asked

''Hell yeah'' I replied with a smirk, he chuckled. We walked in my room to start our history project.

Adams P.O.V

I couldn't concentrate one bit while doing the project, every time I looked into her eyes I got lost and would stare like an idiot, I think I'm falling for this girl and hard, I'm so glad I met her.

We finally finished the project at about 8 o clock and we sat talking for a little bit because I didn't want to leave just yet.

''Kyra you know that you can tell me anything don't you'' I asked

''Yeah'' she replied looking confused

''Please tell me what happened the week before I started this school, I want to know so I can be there in case it happens again, please just tell me'' I asked concerned

''Fine, it’s not a big deal though, I was dragged into the girls toilets and beaten up...badly, the girls left me covered in blood, I was laid there for a while then blacked out, that is all that happened'' She said with tears in her eyes, I grabbed her and pulled her into a hug.

''Sorry Ky I didn't mean to make you cry, I just wanted to be there for you, I want you to be able to trust me, I'm your friend, just let all the tears out, your obviously just trying to stay strong but don’t be afraid to let your guard down with me'' I said wiping away her tears

''I just don't want to go back to school after the holidays because I know they are going to be there and it scares me'' she sobbed

''They won’t lay another finger on you, I'll be by your side every second of everyday, Sorry Ky but you’re never going to get rid of me'' I said smiling, she smiled back weakly

''Thank you Adam'' she said and kissed me on my cheek.

''I'm going to have to go now so text me tomorrow and I'll come round and we can have a movie day or something yeah'' I said

''Okay I will do, see you Adam'' she said

''I'll let myself out, night'' I said as I shut her bedroom door and walked down the stairs to the door, to my car and drove off home.
