Why Is Shanks Always Late?

Shanks, Your Late!

This story is based and inspired off of a fan comic that Standreamy made. This fic doesn't have any connections to 'Uta's Idol.' I don't own One Piece.

~Two years after Strawhat Pirates left Elegia...

"What's taking him so long? Doesn't he realize that we have something important to tell him?"

"Shanks an emperor of the sea, I'm sure getting anywhere will take time."

Sitting on a metal table in the middle of a secluded small town that resides in the New World, is Luffy and Uta. After the events of Elegia, Uta went into a coma and fell unconscious for six months. After waking up, she had to recover for another three months. After her full recovery, Uta decided to set sail on her own adventure. After another two months, she miraculously met the Strawhat Pirates once more and was recruited with open arms as a combatant since Brook already holds the title of musician. Brook was willing to give up his position as the crew's musician, but Uta persuaded everyone to treat her as such as she's not willing to pursue music any more than she has already. She just wants to live the simple pirate life with Luffy now that she has found him once more. Not too long ago Luffy and Uta have decided to start dating as boyfriend and girlfriend, and so she wanted to tell Shanks before the public gets a hold of this. After all, a bounty of over a billion has already been issued for Uta now that she has been caught as a member of the Strawhat Pirates and as the culprit behind the Elegia incident. It will only be a matter of time until someone, like Morgans, gets news of this and Uta wants her father to know before the public.

"His cute daughter has asked to meet him in person after a year apart and even told him the place and time to meet!" Uta complains. "Doesn't he know how important this is?"

"This is Shanks we're talking about though." Luffy said calmly as he twirls his signature straw hat. "Plus, having two emperors meet is already quite the big deal. Maybe he's being cautious."

"As his rival pirate, you shouldn't be so calm about this." Uta scolds Luffy. "Try and show some anger towards him as well!"

"I mean, if he can't come we can wait another time, right?" Luffy asks. "We've been waiting for..."

All of the sudden, Luffy and Uta can feel an unusually strong presence from behind them. The pair turns to see Nami, Usopp and Chopper running towards them with a stressed look on their face.

"Luffy! Uta!" Usopp yells frantically. "He's here! He's here!"

"Yeah, I know." Luffy said as he put his straw hat on his head. "Shanks is right behind you."

The trio slowly turn to see the red headed emperor standing behind them. They let out an eep and fell to the ground scared.

"If you're here to take your daughter, you have to go through us!" Usopp challenges as he pulls out his slingshot. "Or feel the wrath of 'God' Usopp!"

"We won't back down because you're an emperor!" Nami adds as she pulls out her climatact.

"Yeah!" Chopper cries as he goes into Strong Point.

Shanks looks at the crew members quite confused.

"Um, Uta actually called me over here." Shanks said as he raised his hand up. "I didn't come here to take back Uta."

"Eh?"

Luffy nods to his crewmates and they back off.

"I appreciate you guys for standing up for us, but we can take it from here." Uta said as she walked towards Shanks and her crewmates.

Nami, Usopp, and Chopper nod and scurry off to a safer distance which causes the diva to sweat drop. Luffy chuckles and stands up and walks towards the father and daughter.
