Narrator POV

Diego paced the room,  tears escaped his eyes.  Why.. why?  Why?? Why her??
Diego was growing anxious and he couldn't control his emotions.  You're mom walked into the room,  Diego and her made eye contact,  her eyes also filled with tears.  She came to comfort Diego,  and he broke down in her arms.  "It's going to be okay,  we'll get her back."  She tried her best to comfort Diego,  but hearing his sobs only made her more emotional.  You had no idea where you were at,  or what had happened.

Earlier that week

Everything was ready, the date set, flights booked. And the most important part, the dress. The dress was tailored to fit you perfectly and you couldn't even look at it without getting emotional. You and Diego were so in love, and both so excited for the wedding.

Present

"Are you the fiancé?"  A doctor had walked in,  and he held a bag in his hand.  You're mother was now by your side,  and Diego opened the bag to reveal the engagement ring that had to be taken off of you after the accident.  Diego wanted to drop to his knees and break down,  but he held it together to hear what the doctor was going to say.  Diego could tell the doctor didn't have good news. "She's.. not showing signs of waking up anytime soon. I'm so sorry." The doctor placed his hand on Diego's shoulder, trying to comfort him best as possible. "We'll run some more test, you're welcome to stay here with her, the nurses will be monitoring her for the rest of the night." The doctor made his way out of the room, and Diego walked over to your side. You face had stitches and there were bandages on your arms, Diego couldn't help but cry more.
"Y/n, please come back to me."  Diego held your hand, praying you'd come back to him.

Really short chapter, it took me a while to write because I ended up changing this chapter from what I originally planned to write.  Also ignore any errors I'll go back and fix them later 🙏
