How can a woman so desperate for a daughter look upon her only one and give her up? The question simply boggled Severus Snape's mind, but that didn't matter for Clover Weasley became Elizabeth Lily Snape
"Good morning my little princess." Severus smiled as he walked to the crib in which a certain little redhead sat.
Little Elizabeth was turning one year old today, and Severus, like every day, was always teaching, so Elizabeth would be with her papa Dumbledore until dinner.
"Come on birthday girl, let's get you ready for the day," Severus said and took her to his kitchen in his chambers, where he put Elizabeth in her high chair.
"Lizzy, can you say dada?" He asked as he held a spoon full of blended bananas and yoghurt. Yes, Elizabeth could have solid food, but she loved her bananas and yoghurt, so as a treat, She was allowed her favourite breakfast.
"Dada" She smiled and took the spoon into her mouth. Severus smiled and kissed her head
"What about Minnie? Can you say Minnie?"
"Mimmie"
"Papa?" She asked, looking around.
"Not yet, little one, we need to get you all cleaned up and dressed." Severus smiled as Elizabeth finished her breakfast. Severus then headed into the bathroom to get her cleaned up. He blew raspberries on her tummy afterwards as he got her dressed in a frilly dress that was gifted to him by Minerva.
"There we go." He sighed and got her playmat out as well as her favourite toys and grabbed his clothes and headed into the bathroom, leaving the door open so he could see and hear Lizzie. He quickly got washed and dressed, tyring his hair back in a black ribbon before tidying away Lizzies toys and getting her bag, putting spare clothes, books and small toys in it and heading off to Dumbledore's office and all before students were roaming the halls.
Dumbledore smiled as Severus walked in with Elizabeth.
"There is the birthday girl!" He beamed walking over and taking the girl into his arms
"Happy Birthday Betty"

Elizabeth Snape was a very smart little girl, She could walk well before her first birthday, She was talking just before her birthday and she had discovered her fathers 'pretty' tattoo by the age of two.
Of course just before this Lily and James Potter had defeated Lord Voldemort. He had been utterly destroyed when the ministry threatened to send him to Azkaban, but when they saw how his beautiful little girl hugged him and she reminded him so much of his kind old friend that she earned her middle name Lily.
So now as Severus is knelt down, zipping up her coat, he is wishing his little girl was still a baby.
"Now sweetheart, remember, you can't tell anyone that witches, wizards or magic is real." Severus told her. She nodded her head, knowing this Minnie had told her why.
"Can I tell them that my daddy makes potions?"
"No, little love. You can tell them that I am a chemistry teacher in London."
