Introduction

Before we start, I presume you already know your basics on this one right?

You're asking what kind of basic knowledge is. Of course, it is the Korean alphabet and sentence types!

If you don't know that, get out of here and come back if you want after you learn it, as it will be very difficult for you to follow.

Are you saying I should teach you the basics?

Did you even read the title? I am only here to teach you to understand Korean through webtoons and web novels so obviously, I won't be doing that. But if you think you really want it then, I suggest that you go to Youtube and learn the alphabet and read reference books like Korean Grammar-in-use and stuff like that. If you still want to come back after reading the introduction then I would be grateful enough to cater a substantial and fun course with you and my chosen webtoons and web novels.

I think this sounds like a disclaimer and not an introduction, but anyway, I'm sure you know what I mean right?

Well as you can see, finally, I have decided to teach you all Korean through Webtoons and Webnovels. But before we seriously get started let me tell you some stuff about how I teach you.

So here goes nothing...

As per protocol (it's actually my protocol), we will be starting in the most simplest to the genres of webtoon section.

Did you just say you don't how to rank the genres in order. Well, that's expected as I haven't told you anything about it.

But don't worry! This time I will help you with that so you can familiarize yourself.

So here is the rank of webtoon genre difficulty level. (I do think it is redundant but just live it be and just focus on the list)

1.  Modern Romance

2. Modern Fantasy Romance

3. Romance Fantasy

4. Shounen/ Pure Fantasy

5. Historical

Now that you have seen the list, you can finally visually what I am thinking right?

What did you just say 'NO'?

I guess I don't have a choice but to explain it elaborately.

As you can see we have 5 genres in the webtoon section right? So to speak, each genre will have 3 to 5 chapters of different series.

Modern Romance will have 3 chapters, the same goes with Modern Fantasy Romance,

Romance Fantasy will get 4 chapters,

and

Pure Fantasy and Historical will both get 5 chapters from different series.

Now that I have finished the webtoon, I will end the introduction and get over to the next immediately.

HUH? Did you say I forgot Webnovel Section? You can just figure it out on your own.

Just kidding! Why would I leave it out when this is my favorite part of this course.

Anyway, let's get into it!

As much as I want to leave this introduction so much as I am really itching to start it now, it's much better to explain Webnovel section thoroughly so you can keep up with me.

So you have seen the list for the levels of diffuclty for Webtoons right? Well they are pretty much the same except that it is much more of a general for Webnovel section and it is not specified unlke the Webtoon Section.

So here is the list of difficulty for Webnovel Section:

1. Modern Romance

2. Romance Fantasy

3. Pure Fantasy

4. Historical (Romance and Martial Arts)

As you can see, there are only 4 genres in it. The catch here is that unlike in the Webtoon Section, you can suggest novels that you wish to learn right after the list of novels I have listed for this course. I do wish I can add more in the Webtoons but I am scared of being caught and have to write a whole-ass written letter saying that "I will not do it again" in IDOL-Version style. Once is enough for me!

Please be reminded that all of the genres for Webnovel Section will get 5 chapters from different novels.

Now that I am done explaining, it's time for the catchy section. If you ever reached this part, it means you have King's Luck within you!

Anyway, as you may have not known, I am an official Korean translator from some 'famous' Localization Publisher. And no, I won't tell you as it is against our policy.

But the catch here is that, I will be giving out GREAT AMOUNT of REFERENCES of OFFICIAL KOREAN TRANSLATION to those who will subscribe to my Patreon or kofi.  The list of these items is this

1. Webtoon Translation Guideline English Version

-This is a guideline we use in official translation.

2. Title Glossary for Romance Fantasy

- You will be really needing this if you want to pursue translation.

3. Character Template

- This is an effective template if you became a translator and your client or boss want you to summarize the characters and their personality. This also includes the places, and the terms used in the raw material. They are both used for webtoons and webnovels.

4. Ultimate Korean Language Course Spreadsheet

-This one will be really helpful for you to identify which is the subject, object, and stuff like what kind of preposition you can use for verbs, adjectives and whole lot more. I have also put a dictionary here and dissiminated to Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives, Adverbs and others too and you can classify it in Beginner ( 초급), Intermediate (중급), and Advanced (고급). I have spent my time and effort to combine this and it will grow even more as time goes by as I have other things to add in this spreadsheet besides the contents that are in the spreadsheet as of the moment.

So it will be really great if you subscribe on my Patreon as it will be worthwhile if you get these stuff!

So yeah, I guess I covered it all now! I hope to see you on my next update! Bye~
