I opened the door quietly and peered in the living room, Dad was passed out on the sofa drunk so I was safe. I headed upstairs and Cory pulled me into a tight hug. "Where've you been? I've been worried sick!" Cory said and I bit my lip. "Sorry Cory, I just couldn't cope in this house." I said and sighed. "I know, I know." Cory whispered, pulling me into a hug.

We woke up and got ready for school, leaving without saying goodbye to dad and eating toast on the way. "So, you and Riz?" Cory asked and I bit my lip. "We're not together or anything." I said and he smirked. "But you want to be?" Cory asked and I shrugged. "I dunno, we're from different worlds. It wouldn't work." I said and Cory wrapped his arms around my shoulders and pulled me into him.

I joined Missy and Nas in the lunch hall. "Who DO you like?" Missy asked Nas, who was staring at the teacher. "The new teacher?" I asked in a whisper. "What?" I asked and Missy smirked at me. "Nasreen here, is gay." Missy said and I looked at Nas who blushed. "She ain't going to go for it, Nas." Missy said and I raised my eyebrows. "Already has." Nas said and my mouth dropped open. "Did you kiss her or didn't you?" I asked and Nas nodded. "Oh, my God!" Missy shouted and I smiled at her. "Missy, shut up!" Nas hissed and I let out a giggle. "Then what?" I asked and Nas but her lip. "She couldn't look me in the eye after that. Then the trip ended and so did the term, and I didn't think I'd ever see her again. Then I start here and there she is. I like her, like, I really like her. Don't even know what to talk to her about. She won't talk to me unless it's about ventricles or summat."

"Just talk to her." I said and Nas grinned. "You know, you say summat, she says summat." I said and Nas rolled her eyes. "know what talking is!" Nas hissed and I chuckled. "Well you've no problems then, have you?" Missy asked and I pushed her to go and talk to Miss Sharif.

"G, can I talk to you a second?" Riz asked and I nodded and he helped me up, taking me off into the hallway. "Listen, I like you G, I really like you." Ris whispered and he wrapped his arm around me. "I really like you too." I said and he grinned at me. "Will you go out with me?" Riz asked and I nodded, pulling him in for a kiss. "Oi, Nawaz." Cory said pushing Riz's chest. "If you hurt her, your dead." Cory said and I slapped his arm playfully as Riz pulled me into him. "Do you and Cory want to come for tea? He's been having some problems at home too." Riz said and I kissed his lips. "And I can introduce you as my girlfriend this time." Riz said and I smiled up at him. "Of course, I'd like that." I said pressing a soft kiss to his lips.

The day went by pretty quickly, Cory and I walked to Riz's house with him. "Mum, this is my girlfriend Georgie and her brother Cory." Riz told Farida who smiled at us. "Riz, your teachers are coming here tonight." Riz's mum said and I bit my lip. "Mum, they're having a hard time at home. Please." Riz said and his mum sighed, but nodded.

"This is This is great, Farida." Mr Bell said and I eyed Riz who grinned. "Oh, thank you, would you like some juice?" Farida asked and I smiled at Riz. "Oh, no, I better not it's a It's a school night." Mr Bell said and I chuckled. "So erm, what do you do? Do you work?" Mr Bell asked Riz's mum as Cory, Riz and I were joking about. "Erm, I do the accounts for Sadiq. I gave up my full time job when I had the kids. It's a bit old-fashioned, but what's the point of having kids if you're not going to take care of them, right? What about er, you two? Are you planning on ?" Farida asked Mr Bell and I turned around. "Kids? No. Not me. I've just never wanted them." Miss Carter said and I blushed. "So Er, well, I have. Actually, I've got a little boy."

"I didn't know that." Farida said and Mr Bell smiled awkwardly. "Er, you looking forward to rugby practise, Riz? Cory?" Mr Bell asked the two. "Yeah." Riz said and I entwined our fingers. "That's great." Mr Bell said and Riz smiled. "You're playing Rugby!" Mr Nawaz exclaimed over at Riz. "Yeah, he signed up today, didn't you?" Mr Bell asked Riz who smiled sheepishly. "Coerced more like, but..." Riz said and I chuckled. "Excuse me. Isn't that dangerous?" Farida asked looking at Mr Nawaz. "Scared he might hurt his pwetty face?" Alya chimed in causing Riz to push her playfully. "Shut up, you."

"Nonsense. I love rugby, grew up on the great Wigan team of the '80s. Chariots of fire!" Mr Nawaz said and walked off. Riz stood up and followed him, I stayed with Cory not wanting to intrude. "You and Riz, playing rugby?" I asked with a smirk. "Yeah, and you keep your little gorja hands away from my brother." Alya snapped and I rolled my eyes.
