After we wrapped up our meeting for today, Ms. Faruzan let us use our remaining period to do what we want to do.

Some of the members are trying to compose notes, practicing melodies, and other things that are related to our club.

Kat, on the other hand, leaves early dahil may schedule siya for tutoring some students. She was still adamant days ago about how her supposed plan to spend tutoring together with Reiji was a backlash ending with her, doing it alone. But now, she's kinda enjoying the authority that she's having.

I saw Ken sitting behind the room, minding his own business. Umupo ako sa tabi niya. "Tell me about yourself, Ken." Bungad ko sakanya.

He looks at me surprised. "Why of a sudden question?" Natatawa niyang tanong.

"I don't know. I just want to know you more. Like your hopes, your dreams, or even your greatest fear."

He stares at me, smirking. "Why don't you go first."

"If that's what you're comfortable with." I started. "I want to be limitless. But I know, that is kinda too much to dream of, so I desire to do something extraordinary." I replied.

"And what kind of extraordinary is that?" muli niyang tanong.

Nagkibilit balikat ako. "I'm not sure yet. But when I figured it out, I will make sure that it's going to be incredible!"

He smiled at me. "I like your vision, Ayumi."

"Thanks. Now, your turn. What is your greatest wish?" Umayos ako ng upo at hinarap siya.

"I hope to live a successful life." He simply said.

I meet his eyes. "What kind of success?"

"All of the things that you can think of. I just want to live a good life, be happy, and do the things that I love. Aren't we all dreaming of that?" His eyes are sparkling while saying those words.

"That's also pretty extraordinary if you ask me." sagot ko.

"Let me ask you too a question." sambit niya. "What scares you the most?"

I heave a sigh. "Dying while never doing anything worthwhile at all. What we're living in is a scary world. We don't know if we have much time to do all the things that make us feel worth living. I'm scared that I can't do all those dreams of mine because of death."

"Oh. That was deep. I wasn't expecting that. you just know me and yet, it feels like you're already opening yourself to me. Your honesty is very brave."

I chuckled. "You also opened up to me when we first met, remember? But honestly, life is short to be scared of being brave." I met his eyes and shared a smile. "Ken, you know what? You're easy to talk to. It feels like I can talk to you about anything."

"I'm glad to hear that, Ayumi." He looks at me long enough not realizing that we have this intense and unfamiliar connection with each other.

"What about you, what scares you?" I ask.

But before he can answer me, the bell rang. "Save by the bell! I'll just tell you next time."

"huy, ang unfair!" pagrereklamo ko.

"Isn't life already is?"

"Reiji, pakopya ng assignment mo sa Chemistry." Sambit ni Hiro kay Reiji na kararating lang dito sa school ground. We just decided to hang out here with the whole gang para maiba naman. Sitting in the grass, appreciating the scenery.
