✧ Whoof. What a pain in the ass. Can you see this? Can you talk to ghosts? Is there really another side? Do they look like us, or like zombies? Do you just like, see dead people all the time? Can they actually posses you?!

✧ He's just all over the place, but finds it really cool. Anytime you want to talk about it or how it works, he's down to sit and listen to you talk about it. Of course, he has his own reasons to be interested, seeing as a lot of people have passed in his time he'd like to get in touch with

✧ Hellboy might even ask you as well. Maybe a former agent that used to give him a bit more freedom and 'accidentally' leave his door unlocked as a teen so he could venture out, or a former colleague who kept that stash of Baby Ruth's that Hellboy always found himself in. Maybe even, his father. But that's a touchy subject

✧ But hey, he also doesn't know half of what he's talking about and only asks the questions that come across on TV so, answer them in a way that he won't understand and hopefully he'll stop bugging you or tell him that you'll have someone posses him and steal his identity. That should shut him up real quick

✧ Given that his father was always a touchy subject to him after his passing, it made sense that Hellboy drove away from any topic that included him if he could. He couldn't bear himself to think about him in public and have people see him.... well... cry

✧ He also always refused to ask you if you ever talked to him or if you could, too scared of the possibility that you couldn't and feeling so silly for asking, or having you talk to him and him be upset with him, like everyone else seemed to be just about all the time

✧ But, you had talked to his father. Just a few months after his death, actually. And once more after that. The first time was just a small blip of his presence, when both you and Hellboy went to his grave. It was the first time Red's had taken you to his grave as well

✧ It was the second time that you had connected with his father, a few years later from the first little blip. Hellboy had still been very touchy and finicky on the subject of his father, but you could tell he wanted to ask you that question. Yet, you didn't know if he was ready for the information his father wanted to give him

✧ You had only known Broom for a few years and had the utmost respect for him and his work. Let alone seeing how much Hellboy loved and adored him, always going to him with something he needed. Having this small request from him made you blush. If this made you emotional, lord knows what Reds would feel
