"Are you sure you want to come, I mean, it gets pretty hectic-"

Hellboy didn't even need to finish to see the fire in your eyes about going with him and the agents on this call. He knew you were strong but, it worried him that you wanted to put yourself in danger like that.

He could handle much more than you but, who was he to stop you from doing that you love?

You always nagged him to let you trudge along side him, promising not to get in his or the other agents way, but he just couldn't bring himself to risk the odds of you getting hurt, no matter how strong you where.

It didn't help that Abe and Liz were completely on board with you tagging along with them.

But, like the massive pushover he is for you, gave in when not only you but Abe and Liz convinced him to let you be on call.

That's how you got the job in the B.P.R.D in the first place; you could fight, you could figure out cases and had a keen eye for clues around the city. Not to mention you knew how to control Red when he got a bit too hot-headed.

But now, now he really should have gone with telling you no whenever you asked, but now he has to deal with him and his agents sitting back and waiting for your signal to safety. The alley way that they had be trudging through was above the system of looping cave systems that held a horde of Hellhounds. Nothing you all shouldn't have a hard time handling, until the pavement gave out beneath you

The fall wasn't too major, but it was enough to knock the wind out of you. The lining from the top of the rocky cave and pavement above was thinning, so it was only a matter of time that someone fell through

Hellboy and the agents heard the crackle of their radio receivers, immediately panicking (Hellboy; it was Hellboy that immediately panicked).

"Aw... fuck," he turned on his transmitter, "Are you okay? What happened? Are you hurt?"

His questions rambled on, a small piece of him wilting when he didn't get a direct answer. Another part of him clawing at himself for agreeing to get you this job oh so long ago.

A few seconds more, "Babe?"

He was a bit more gentle, less sporadic. Questioning your possibilities of being alive.

"Yes... Yes, I'm okay. I found-well, I fell into a circuit cave system. By the dampness and texture, I think I found the places we've been looking for. Looks to be a hellhound nest. Great."

The radio crackled in between a few words but he couldn't have felt more relieved in his life.

"Oh, oh okay uhm, I-I think you guys might want to get here fast. I've got some company..."

A pack of hounds had made their way towards the sound of their nest being disturbed, and they were far from pleased. Standing up and dusting yourself off, the pistol of medicinal tranquilizers hoisted and pointed right at the head of the pack.

Almost simultaneously, both Hellboy and your receivers pick up on each others voice,

"Fuck"
