Anna was stretched out on the couch after finishing work. She was talking to her sister while Jess was reading on the recliner. "Grandma broke into my dorm and furnished it and put an entertainment system in. When I explained that it might make my roommate uncomfortable. She said that was the point, to give me leverage."

"That woman is a genius. I bow to her brilliance." She hummed.

"Susanna! This is serious. I don't want people to feel like they have to walk on eggshells around me." She whines. "Paris already thinks I'm trying to lord it over her because I don't want to leave my door open for strangers to come in."

"What?" She didn't know why anyone would do that.

"It's a college party thing. Our floor is hosting and anyone who wants to be a part of it leaves their door open." She explains.

"Why don't you just give out your belongings to the robbers?" She scoffs.

"That's what I was saying. Paris had been having tantrums about it. She wants college to be different from high school." She explains.

"It does sound like fun." She hummed.

"You just said it's a good way to get robbed." She argued.

"Put all the things you don't want to get stolen in your room and lock it. If anything that Grandma bought gets stolen you can use that as a reason that she shouldn't be buying you those kinds of things." She flicks through the tv looking for something to watch.

"I guess it's an experience that I might not get again." She sighs.

"If you need to you can still lock yourself in your room." She reasoned.

"Alright, I give this party life a try." She didn't think she would like it.

"Yes!" Paris yelled in the background.

"I'm not doing this for you!" She didn't want her to think she won.

"Like I care." She grabbed the phone from Rory who yelled in protest. "Thank you, Anna."

"Your welcome, Paris." She smiled. "I hope your party goes well and you get a good social standing."

"I hope your cohabiting is going well... Goodbye." She hands the phone back.

"So, have you gotten in trouble for hitting the craft table yet?" She asked.

"Yes, it's right by the door. It was in the middle of the night and I had to use the bathroom. I didn't want to turn on the light and wake her up, so I ended up running into it and knocking something over." She spent most of her time in the common area, not feeling like her room was her own space.

"She took over the room, so I would embrace taking over the common area." She brought it back to their original topic.

"I have two other roommates." She reminds her.

"The one always running and the other's an airhead, they won't care." She shrugged.

"She's not an airhead." She denies.

"She's only book smart. Don't know how she's going to survive." She heard stories of how she didn't know any social cues.

"She is nice." Rory defends her pleasant roommate.

"She's going to end up in a murder's basement if she keeps being gullible. She was going to give her pantie to those boys when they told her it was research for women's health." She had heard many stories of this teenager. Jess looks up at hearing that.

"I know." Rory didn't want the world to ruin her.

"Well, I hope you have fun at your party." She heard someone buzzing their apartment. Jess got up to pay the delivery guy.
