"Jess, you know how you've been spending a lot of nights at the bookstore." She was having lunch with him before he went there.

"Yeah," He digs into his nacho.

"Do you think you could at least sleep in the apartment? I know it's stupid and needy but I miss your presence." She missed curling up next to him.

"You miss me or your body pillow." Jess wasn't a cuddler but he tolerated it.

"Can't it be both?" She pouts. "I know it is hypothetical of me to ask you this when you moved here for me and are supporting me both financially and emotionally and..."

"Stop!" He put his hand up. "I choose to follow you here and I'm glad I did. If I didn't I wouldn't be with you and I wouldn't be opening my own business. As far as supporting you in every way I can, you need to stop feeling indebted to me. You have done the same for me. Even when you had no reason to, you put your faith in me. That belief is why even when it was hard and felt pointless I got my GED. Even though I hate work, I am motivated to go to my day job every day, because I loved coming home to you. If anyone should feel indebted to anyone, it should be me to you. If it wasn't for you I would be couch surfing in New York bouncing from one shitty under-the-table job to another because I never got my GED. So, promise me, you will try to stop feeling that way."

"I will try." She needs to nip that depressing thought in the bud.

"The guys have agreed that we've been burning ourselves out." He ate a nacho.

"All of you have been working seven nights a week." The guys were keeping their day jobs also until the store opened.

"So, we agree on one day a week. A real day off that matches our day jobs. We're way ahead of schedule." When Chris fell asleep sanding a bookshelf they knew they needed to take a break.

"So, I was vulnerable for nothing." She could have stayed quiet and had her problem solved.

"No, it's nice knowing you miss me." He smiles. "I'll come home to sleep. Besides, the crappy couch Matt bought at a garage sale has been killing my back." He rubs it.

"I've been sleeping great." She stretched out like a cat.

"Then why are you begging me to warm the bed for you." He teases.

"Alright, don't let your head get too big." She rolled her eyes.

" She rolled her eyes

"I'm parking. Stop rushing me." Anna was on the phone with Thomas.

"It's a limited edition. It's going to sell out by the time you get there." He huffs.

"I'll get the damn Gucci belt. I'm getting out of the car.... Walking to the store." She gave him a play-by-play. "Going to enter the store."

"You're in front of the store... stop!" He yelled.

"What?" She was getting frustrated with him but did as he told her to.

"Look at the showcase window." He instructed.
