Ink Stains {One Piece x Reader)

Part 2: The Great Escape

Smoker had left The Rusted Needle in shambles. Y/N did her best to clean up what she could, but it didn't really matter. Smoker had destroyed her dream of being the most infamous tattoo artist in the world, this was a dream she had since she was a kid. Whenever a new pirate came to town she always asked to see their tattoos, most kids were afraid to approach pirates, but not her. She had practiced drawing over and over and tattooing on old pieces of leather. Eventually she got good enough to tattoo real people and the rest is history.

Time was running out, Y/N wasn't going to let them take her. But she also knew she couldn't stay there. She ran up to her apartment and grabbed a few bags, she shoved clothes, a tattoo gun, some needles and ink, all the money she had and snuck out the back door of her building. As she stepped outside it started to rain. She lifted up the hood on her jacket and it shaded her face slightly, making it difficult for anyone to immediately recognize her unless they got too close.  She hesitated as she glanced back at her shop. A frown formed on her lips. "So long.." she muttered under her breath as she quickly moved down a back alley towards another section of the street.

Y/N looked around, the vendors, shops and markets were usually bustling at this time of day, rain or shine. Steam still rose from hot grills where skewers of various meats and vegetables were left. It was silent except for a subtle mumble of what sounded like a distant crowd. "The execution plaza.." Y/N muttered under her breath. She knew it probably wasn't smart to go see what the commotion was, but her curiosity got the best of her and she hurried in the direction of the sound.

Eventually she came upon the execution plaza. There had to have been hundreds of towns folk, pirates, and marines gathered around. Y/N adjusted her hood and kept her head low to avoid any direct glances from anyone around her. Her eyes focuses on the execution tower. There looked to be a boy locked into the the wooden stocks. Y/N was at pretty far away and at the back of the crowd but she could see that the boy had an ear to ear grin on his face. And standing next to him with a sword raised over his head was a...clown!? Right as the sword came barreling down towards the boys neck a huge bolt of lighting struck the clown, causing him to collapse and the execution tower to crumble. People started running and screaming in fear. The clown seemed to be knocked out and burnt up from the lighting strike. The boy however was gone.

The rain began to pick up, and so did the wind. It blew the hood directly off her head, she was now exposed. Y/N turned on her heels quickly and began to sprint in the opposite direction. Dodging members of the crowd as she ran. She turned her head back as she ran and noticed a group of marines heading towards her.

"I may have let straw hat slip from my fingers but I'll be damned if I let you get away!" Smoker called out to you from behind the group of marines. He phased into smoke and began rushing towards you. "Shit, shit, shit, shit!" She mutters under her breath. In front of her she sees a group of people running away, one of them being the boy who almost got decapitated by the clown. Y/N kept running but she was not faster than Smoker. Smoker grabbed Y/N by her hood and threw her into a shopping stall in front of her. She crashed through the wooden structure, splinters of wood scattered across the ground, some of them piecing Y/N's arms and legs. Y/N groaned in pain as she tried to lift herself from the wreckage.

{Luffy POV}
Luffy ran as fast as he could, narrowly escaping Smoker. He didn't know how he did it, but it didn't really matter. All that mattered now was getting him and his crew back to the Going Mary so they could escape. As Luffy was running her heard a loud crash that causes him to stop and look back. "Luffy what are you doing!? We have to go now a storm is coming!" Nami cried out of frustration, she turned to see what Luffy was looking at and noticed the girl who laid in the wooden wreckage.  Sanji, Usopp and Zoro noticed Nami and Luffy stopping so they stopped as well. "Come on guys they're going to catch us!" Usopp said with fear in his voice. "No. She needs our help." Luffy stated with an emotionless expression. He winded his arm back slightly and stretched it out towards the girls hood, he grabbed onto it tightly and reeled it in. He carried her over his shoulder as they ran off towards their ship.

{Y/N POV}

Y/N thought they were a goner. They weren't strong enough to defeat Smoker or anyone. She was about to accept defeat until she felt something grab her and sent her flying backwards. She yelped in surprise and looked down at the boy who was now carrying her. Her eyes were wide with shock. "What...just happened?" She muttered to herself.

Zoro glanced back at Y/N and Luffy "That was a little risky don't you think, Captain?" Luffy could only smile in response. But that wasn't good enough for Nami and she bashed the back of his head. "YOU COULD OF GOT US CAUGHT YOU KNOW!" Luffy frowned and rubbed the back of his head. "Ow..why'd you hit me? We weren't caught and I saved this lady from that smoker guy. It's all good!" Luffy let out a soft chuckle. As soon as the word "Lady" entered Sanji's ears he turned around to take a look at Y/N. His eyes lit up with admiration. "It would have been worth it to save someone as lovely as you, my sweet." Whilst running Sanji tried blow Y/N a kiss but Nami slapped the back of his head as well. "NOT THE TIME FOR THAT YOU IDIOT."

Eventually they made it back to where the Going Mary was docked. Luffy set Y/N down on her feet. "NOOOO! They're trying to burn the ship! Stop them!" Usopp cried out. Sanji, Zoro and Luffy sprung to action and took out the intruders. Y/N stood there damp and confused. They all climbed aboard the ship, leaving Y/N on the docks. "Are you coming or what? If you stay here that smoker guy will surely find you!" Zoro called out from on top the ship. Y/N hesitated for a moment and hurriedly climbed into the ship. As soon as Y/N was on board the crew went to work unfurling the sails and departing from the dock.

Nami and the rest of the crew walked over to Y/N. Nami had a concerned expression. "Hey are you okay? Why did Smoker attack you like that? Are you a pirate?" Y/N frowned a little. "I'm fine, just a little cut up." Y/N looked down at her body, she had various cuts and rips in her clothing from the shattered wood. "My name is Y/N and no I'm not a pirate but I guess you can say I helped them out.I have-..had a tattoo shop. I'd tattoo pirates from all over." Y/N frowned a little at the thought of never being able to go back to her shop. "WOW THATS SO COOL!! I bet you met some pretty strong pirates!" Luffy said with excitement. Y/N nodded her head with a smile. "Yeah, I did. But the marines didn't like the crowd of pirates I was building. They thought I was evil and conspiring against them by breaking the peace. I was just doing what I love." Y/N shrugged. "Oh well. It's over now I guess."  Sanji frowned at that. "Stupid marines...how could they think someone as beautiful as you was evil!" Usopp backed up and help his slingshot in front of himself in defense. "You're not e-evil are you?" He asked in a trembling voice. Y/N shrugged her shoulders "I don't think so." 

Luffy placed a hand on Y/N's shoulder and had another one of his signature grins. "We'll Y/N, now that you're here, why don't you join our crew. It would be so cool do have a tattoo artist on board. WE ALL CAN GET MATCHING TATTOOS!" Luffy yelled with excitement. "IN YOUR DREAMS!" The rest of the crew said unanimously.

Y/N was exhausted. She used her devil fruit powers to remove the bags from her shoulders and laid them down beside her on the deck. The entire crew stopped, lack jawed. "WOAH! how did you do that, Y/N?" Luffy asked in amazement. "You just made the bag float.. and I seeing things?" Zoro said softly, still not believing what I saw. Y/N laughed gently. "I are the mind mine fruit. It lets me control objects with my mind." She raised her wrist and used her powers to lift Luffy's hat off his head and fall into his hands. "Y/N YOU'RE SO MULTITALENTED!" Sanji cries with glee. Usopp rolled his eyes. "Will you give it a rest already." He sighed deeply. "That power will be very useful around here. I'm glad Luffy grabbed you when he did." Nami said as she took a step towards Y/N.

"So, Y/N will you join us?" Asked Nami with a glint in her eye. The rest of the crew stared Y/N down, waiting for an answer. Y/N hesitated for a moment. "Why not. I have nothing better to do." A smile grew across her face. "YEAAAAAHH!!" The entire crew cried out in excitement. Y/N had a feeling things were only going to get better from here, she can finally start over.

{Sorry this was long. I also was too lazy to type out the fight against the crew and the Buggy pirates who were trying to burn the ship. I'll try and get to a new chapter, I'll probably skip over a lot of things. It'll take too long to go over every details.
